SO-50 just flew right over my barn here in Jurupa Valley, CA - talked to San
Diego, Hesperia, and Colorado ... at least SOME folks aren't busy preparing
guacamole for later ... And AO-73 just flew over - telemetry strong. Didn't
expect to hear the new Delfi-N3XT, but was already outside ... nada heard.

In the spirit of the day: GO SATS!

Good on you Peter ! also, if you do not know, LoTW will accept a combo of
paper cards and electronic contacts. This can help if you get close to that
VUCC and need a few new grids

Thanks to everyone who gave me advice on HRD and eQSL.

I have now configured HRD to send each QSO, including satellites,
automatically, as well as LoTW.
It was very easy (when you know how).

Hi,

As part of the changes to improve the calculation of satellite time I've
got to take the server down for about 20 minutes to make and validate
some database changes.

I detail, I'm changing attributes currently stored as datetime into
timestamp. This gives us sub-second accuracy which I need for
calculating the packet times and hence better graphing and csv contents.

I plan to do this between 12:30 - 14:00 UTC (4th Feb). Any problems,
with that I will delay it until 19:30 UTC (4th Feb)

Nick,
the program displays either AOS + LOS or the time until AOS (Countdown). You
can toggle between these options with the control AL/Ct.

Mike Herr, WA6ARA, has an excellent article on pp. 54-59 of the
February 2014 CQ Magazine entiitled "Satellites and the QRPer...or
Don't Worry About Sunspots" focusing on operating the linear
transponder satellites using QRP equipment.

Very nicely done, Mike!
