Notice that there was quite a bit of rearranging the element sets from the
FUNcube launch on ClesTrak. Object 39417, 2013-066B, is tracking fairly
close to the last element set from the AMSAT-UK web page and might be useful.

Folks,

We have reason to believe that FUNcube-1 / AO-73 is object 2013-066B
We would at this point be very interested in comparisons between reception
using the older KEPS and the just released KEPS.

These are in tle-new.txt on celestrak, and probably on other servers as
well.

Please keep in mind that due to the initial inaccuracy and the small size
of objects, the object designators can change during this phase.

Hi Drew,

That is very cool! We would be happy to receive intersatellite data in our
database!
I wonder what the doppler did!

Hello,

It?s been some time that I linked my TNC to a dashboard output, and I
honestly forgot the setup. I know that the TNC needs to be in KISS mode and
there might be a serial port emulator in the setup. If anyone can give me
some guidance on the required steps to allow the TNC to talk to the KYSat
dashboard I would be very grateful, thank you.

I'm fairly certain I heard the telemetry via FO-29 on the last pass over
North America. I was listening at around 435.874 MHz as the satellite
was approaching the northern horizon. According to my tracking app,
FO-29 and AO-73 were in range of each other. I do have an audio
recording and will post times +/- 1 minute (relying on the audio
recorders clock) and the recording.

On updating from Celestrak I get a whole heap of 2013-06xx keps - one
of them must match with FUNCUBE, is there a list somewhere of which
objects match which of the latest cubesats launched?

I used 2013-066B, object 39417 today for FUNcube with good results.

Suspect this object is the cluster of three cubesats that were deployed
together. Perhaps ZAcube-1 and HiNcube also work with these keps, although I
haven't tried to receive them.

Just copied 89 frames of telemetry from FunCube 1. I agree, the 13066B is a

Hi Pete,

You need to put the TNC into KISS mode before running their software. At
least that is the case here with a Paccomm TNC. Make the com port
settings match your system (port number, baud).

No need for any port emulators.

It works OK here.

mode and there might be a serial port emulator in the setup. If anyone can
give me some guidance on the required steps to allow the TNC to talk to the
KYSat dashboard I would be very grateful, thank you. 73 Peter WB2OQQ

I just had the pleasure of hearing the 0236UTC pass of Funcube AO-73 on my
TH-F6A with nothing but a Comet tri-band antenna on the radio. I was
standing in my living room. For an extremely minimalist receiving setup
like that it was a real trip! Signals were strong from the beacon on
145.935mHZ. My kudos to all involved in the project.

when will AO-73 (funcube) keps be available for download from some fo the
selections in Satpc32? A download without those keps will erase the manual
installed ones.

Well, I will third that. I had a 2 degree pass and it worked well with
those keps. Not a lot of TLM recovered but I could hear the between
frame beep for the duration of what SatPC32 said was AOS.

I've got a few birdies from neighboring ?? and they can wreck the
FUNcube telemetry very easily unless FUNcube is pretty strong. It
doesn't seem to take much birdie carrier to lose a frame.
Anybody else have similar woes?

Jerry,

My shack is (sadly) full of 2M "birdies." Most of them come from my
wireless hub...replaced it once, didn't improve. Need one that is "silent"
on 2M, but with so many devices, changing anything on the wireless gives me
a migraine :)

The SDR FCDP+ waterfall on 2M is really, really ugly here. Heh.
