Just saw the movie "Gravity" aside from a few gaffs (ISS & Hubble on same
orbit),and few others, a fun movie for space junkies. Saw the 3D, IMAX
version. Excellent scenery, I was waiting for SO-50 to float by.

Agree Bob, the debris scene is well taken and can imagine the damage it can
cause. I was hoping during the movie the astronauts would try Amateur Radio
to contact ground when all comm's with Houston fail.?

Gravity is a very entertaining film. I found some of the scenarios
portrayed laughable yet creative. It is amazing that during the entire 90
minute film only two actors are utilized, one being only for the first 1/3
of the movie.

The debris scene is very scary when you think of all the global impact such
a real event would cause.

Almost fell out off the couch. I was watching TV and there was a national
commercial that featured Ham Radio. This is not some cheesy local affiliate
news filler or a two-bit webcast but an actual professionally produced
commercial that features Ham Radio broadcast on national TV. It is a bit of
a stretch to link the product they are selling to Ham Radio but nice to see
ham radio included.
