  Hi Hank,

Can you post something on the AMSAT list about listening for my balloon
over GA today. It was heard NE of Atlanta at 9:15 am today but his custom
RTTY setting kept crashing his program.

WB8ELK on 433.888 MHz AM (plus or minus for temperature drift). Can also
hear it via FM and WFM but will be weaker than using AM mode.

110 baud ASCII RTTY (8 bits, No parity, 1 stop bit) Use Custom RTTY
mode in FLdigi. Transmits every 15 seconds with a 5-second gap between
transmissions.

Last heard over Northeast Atlanta. Possibly heading to the Southeast of
Altanta but could also be heading out to SC.

This is a solar-powered floater balloon that could stay up several days.

Hi Alan, WA4SCA

I can't understand why the AMSAT-NA members are more than 30,000 and the
ballots submitted by
Martha Saragovitz are only 688. Perheps voting for AMSAT in USA is becoming
and endangered species or the AMSAT members are less than 30,000 ?

Domenico,

I'm pretty sure members have been assigned numbers sequentially since the
early days. The membership number is can be thought of more as a seniority
number, the lower the number, the longer you've been a member. So the
highest number is the number of people who have at sometime held a
membership. The actual number is diluteced

Domenico - AMSAT membership is approximately 3,000.

The member number was assigned in the order the member first joined AMSAT.
?Over the years, members have come and gone. ?However, the membership number
keeps growing.

I joined AMSAT the 2nd month after it was founded. ?My AMSAT number is 239.
?When life memberships were offered, I was the 463rd to get a life
membership. ?Therefore, my life membership is indicated by LM-463. ?As
Martha says, the current number of "paid" members is a little over 3000.
