I found several articles that may be of interest on a website "devoted
to analysis of North Korea." The site <http://38north.org/> is a program
of the US-Korea Institute at SAIS (School of Advanced International
Studies, Johns Hopkins University).

The first was published in April, and has as detailed a description and
photographs of what was probably the engineering prototype of the
satellite that was successfully orbited:
http://38north.org/2012/09/nhansen091212/.
The second, published shortly before the launch, discusses GeoEye
satellite imagery that shows preparations at the launch site:
http://38north.org/2012/12/sohae121112/.
A third article shows the launch trajectory and has a link to a KMZ file
that illustrates approximately the first half-orbit that can be viewed
in 3-D with GoogleEarth: http://38north.org/2012/04/tongchang041012/
<http://38north.org/2012/04/tongchang041012/>.

Surely that's just like any other satellite tumbling after deployment, there
was never any indication it had a gradient boom let alone thrusters onboard
so tumbling after deployment would be a normal characteristic.

 Re: North Korea's Kwangmyongsong-3B

Hello,

I have quickly made a live satellite tracking page, for anyone wanting to
try listening for the DPRK bird.

http://www.vk3ukf.com/Space/GadgetSat-Kwangmyongsong-3B.htm

I hope someone can find a signal soon. I found a suggestion for 479 MHz.

What does K.N satellite have to do with Amsat antway. I have cable TV and
Fox news . I havent seen anything on TV about amsat getting one into space .
I dont think Amsat NA will last much longer without a bird . Donations may
soon start to drop off too if theres no results.
Glad my DELETE button works LOL
