Hi,

I'm looking for similar satellite antennas for 2m and 70cm like MASPRO
WHS32N, where you can switch between LHCP and RHCP.
Please for any advice where to buy similar new antennas?

thanks for answer

Hi Tony!

> Fantastic work Patrick!

Thanks! And thanks to all who have sent similar messages, either
here on the -BB or direct to me. I have tried to keep up with the
messages, but I may have missed one or two while trying to do my
day job. :-)

I'm an I.T. guy, not a lawyer. Navigating the processes for dealing
with the US and Cuban governments has been a learning process -
one I have had to figure out quickly. This process is not clearly
documented on either side, and some of the documentation that is
available online was not correct. I was surprised to get Hector's
phone call this morning as I was leaving for the office. But I'll take
that surprise, as the time was running out for this to happen.

I know Hector will have fun on this trip. He'll also take the post-
Symposium tour of the Kennedy Space Center. He will have a
pretty full schedule for his time in Florida, but I'm sure he will enjoy
it. Lots of pictures - and video - will be coming. Who knows - we
may even be able to rig up some sort of Echolink round-table chat
while he's in Orlando, opening up the conversation to more hams
than just those attending the Symposium.

73!

Hi Andy,

As fa as I know only M2 sells antennas that are similar to the Maspro
WHS32N. For example the 2MCP14 for 2 meter and the 436CP30 for 70cm.

You also have to buy an extra device for RHCP and LHCP switching.
PS-2M for 2 meter and a PS-70CM for 70 cm.

There are at least two more manufacturers with switchable L/R circular
polarity antennas available today:

Cushcraft OSCAR Series (listed as OSCAR package in current catalog
consisting of 2m and 70cm antennas)

Gulf Alpha Communications (several offerings for 2m and 70cm
switchable polarity CP)

I'm not sure how they compare to the WHS32N.

Hi Andy, Jan and all

The KLM and CUSHCRAFT antennas for switchable polarization
RHCP and LHCP complete with the polarization switchers are
sold in Italy by

http://www.hsp.it/radio/offerte/offradio.htm

The Kit-SAT 1 from KLM costs Euro 599,00 and includes
the following antennas with the original polarization switchers

KLM 2M-22C 2 meters 11 +11 elements crossed yagi
KLM 435-40CX 70 20+20 elements cm crossed yagi
---------------------------------------------------------------------

The Kit-SAT CUS from CUSHCRAFT costs Euro 599,00
and includes the following antennas with the original polarization
switchers

22XB 2 meters 11+11 elements crossed yagi
738XB 70 cm 19+19 elements crossed yagi

I use both the antennas from KLM and I am very satisfied with it
In addition I have modified the KLM-40CX to get four
polarizations V-H-RHCP-LHCP and I have described the
above modification into the following issues of AMSAT-Journal.

Part-1 AMSAT Journal March/April 2007
Part-2 AMSAT Journal May/June 2007

I hope this helps
