It was a smooth launch. The spacecraft has separated from the launch
vehicle and the photovoltaic arrays have been deployed. Docking with
the ISS is scheduled for Wednesday.

I watched the launch on the Internet and didn't take much notice of
the problem others than the exhaust plume briefly expanding.
Apparently it 's not the first time the Falcon 9 had engine problems
during flight:

If I recall correctly, during one of the earlier space shuttle
missions, one of the main engines shut down early during launch but
the spacecraft still made it into orbit.

Hello Fellow satellite users;
Is anyone operating AO7-a? A few of us "diehard" satellite users are
working AO7-A, the satellite is generally pretty empty, normally I am
just listening to my own signal on the down-link.
Mode A works just as well as Mode B does, you can use your HF beam as a
receiving antenna if need be to copy the down-link. From EM55aj I have
worked 2E1EUB in the U.K., I have worked Hector, CO6CBF, in Cuba and I
have worked HK3MKE in Columbia, the satellite works fine there are just
not many stations there.
If anyone wants to give AO7-A a try drop me an email, I am retired and
have the time to operate and I don't mind the early morning or late in
the evening passes, I have a SKYPE account that I can be reached on as
well: K4FEG_EM55.
We are running out of options here on the satellites and I am not an SWL
so I don't plan on sitting around just waiting for a satellite miracle,
If it's up there and it will receive my transmissions, I am going to try
and operate that satellite!
Remember: Just work them "birds" until the antennas burn off during
re-entry!!
That's my story and I am sticking to it!

Yeah...about 1:20 just as they are going supersonic the number 1 engine
"rapidly disassembles"...it was hard to see this in real time but you knew
something was up when they announced a longer burn...26 seconds.
Having said that...I have been in a Boeing when the CF-6 on the starboard
wing threw blades and the kevlar there worked as well...so this is all in
all an impressive thing that they rolled past this and went on to orbit
but they will want to understand why (likely) the turbopump came apart
...you can in the picture see the nozzle in half and non directed "flame"...
I dont know of another multi engine rocket that would have survived this.

Greetings...there are engine problems and there are engine problems (grin).
"shutting one down" is one thing but one "coming apart" is another thing.
This is the first time "I" am aware of a vehicle going up the hill has had
an engine come apart including mostly likely losing the engine nozzle...and
the vehicle just keep on going. if you are on facebook come to my page, I

I also get on mode A Frank and usually just listen to my own downlink...in
addition when the antennas are burning off during re-entry we can do some
meteor scatter on the trails!

I noticed two things that I found interesting.
The amount of flames that were outside the engine nozzles. When i see
flames like that it brings back memories of another flame where it
should not have been. And the result of that flame.
The other thing I was totally thrown back by the temp of the nozzle on
the second stage! It was white hot all the time during burn. Like WOW!

AO-27 computer has crashed. At the VT ground station (with KJ4QLP
operating) we have seen MBL (microbootloader) control interaction
between the spacecraft and the ground (MBLCTL packets). This means
the command station(s) are interacting with a crashed spacecraft
computer.
I do not have ANY inside information. I am reporting only on what I
can see with my own packet decoder....
