Hi Kev,

I am not in the UK/Scotland but in the south part of The Netherlands
and I have used both of them.
Even Canada is possible with SO-50 from my location.

Radio Amateur Reaches Mongolia in Fiat Panda
Neil PA9N has been a frequent presenter at the AMSAT-UK International Space
Colloquium and worked on the amateur radio satellite XO-53, see
