Bob,
I use 20Ft of Rohn 25 and a tilt base with a tree near the tower and a
winch providing the motion. Total cost of tower sections and base was
less than 200$$ Nice to be able to have the antennas and rotators at
ground level for maintenance.

My laptop finally died, and the replacement came with 64-bit version of

neither works. Does anyone have any idea or instructions on how to

Do NOT accept the default installation directory of C:\Program Files! Win7
is very finicky about allowing programs in that folder to have write access.
Create a dedicated folder in the root directory such as C:\Satellite
Programs, and install to that folder. SatPC32 is working just fine on my
Win7 netbook, installed to such a folder.

Jim,

SATPC32 is known to work with WIN7 64 bit. A good discussion here:

http://www.dk1tb.de/Vista_eng.htm

Make certain you have the latest version. If there is still a problem, need
some details about _how_ it doesn't work.

I use WIN7 32 bit, but I know at least one person who uses the 64 bit
version. He is traveling, but there may well be others on the list.

Hi, Jim

I'm running SatPC32 on a Windows 7 64-bit laptop, and it runs perfectly.

How do you mean "it doesn't work"?

Does it not start, starts but crashes, no display?

I also have Nova on it, but I'd much rather use SatPC32.

Yes SatPC32 runs perfectly on W7 64bit. We need more info about how it
doesn't work. Don't worry, we can get you going.

Hi Guys,
Can anyone with an IC-9100 confirm what sort of plug/skt is used for
the Data 2 connection.
I've a 9100 on the way and would like to hook up to data immediately on
arrival. (for KiwiSAT
tests.....!!!)
From the online manual it looks like a square pin 'special' rather than a
standard DIN. Do they
provide a plug with the unit? (If they do its not listed on the supplied
accessories!.)
 Thanks and 73

Hi Bob

Just go on my web page www.qsl.net/ve2dwe i have 3 4X4 wood post. The 3
bottom post are drilled to pass a metal round bolt making the
center pole moving from flat to ground to vertical. When i want to secure
the middle post i drilled a hole through the 3 top pole section
and i insert another long bolt through them with two nuts making a very
strong structure. I even attached a DME tower section to the middle
post making any antenna adjustment available at any convenient height.

To move this middle section i'm using a double pulley system and i included
a manual winch to have more control on the middle section
movement.

This system was holding a 7.5 foot dish (Old TVRO) until the metal mast
inside the DME broke in a winter ice storm.

Jim,
SatPC32 installs on Vista and Windows 7, 32- and 64-bit and it can be
installed into the default folder "C:\Program Files\SatPC32".

There is a link
"Read this before you download one of the files, please"
on my website www.dk1tb.de , English page "Downloads" with instructions
about how to install the program:

"Download satpcsetup.ZIP, store and unpack the file into the temporary
folder.
.........
IMPORTANT: Under Vista and Windows 7 right click on the filename ("setup")
and from the menu that opens choose "Run as administrator".

Then follow all suggestions of the program. It will install SatPC32 into the

      'C:\Program Files\SatPC32' folder."

Even if you are the administrator proceed as described.

73s, Erich

If you will still need K2D for the 13 Colonies Satellite effort after today,
could you send me a note via my direct e-mail to set up a schedule and I'll
try and make the schedule. I have some conflicts that will prevent me doing
ad-hoc operations beyond the normal scheduled date of July 5. I will be on
this afternoon's FO29, AO27 and AO7 passes.
