Photos were released today of the Kwangmyongsong-3 satellite, planned to be
launched from North Korea later this week. The rectangular box satellite
appears to have a ~ 400 MHz 1/4 wave antenna on same side as sensors, and
possibly Earth Observation (EO) camera.
I have seen no data on frequencies to be used for EO camera.

When I saw the first images of the satellite, it reminded me of a Surrey
(SSTL) design from a decade ago. IF placed in a polar orbit, it would have
a Western hemisphere ascension across eastern Brazil, Western Atlantic, and
eastern Canada / Greenland.

Hello, all:

Happy to report that all QSLs have been sent for last year's Caribbean
DXpedition. Glad that's done.

If you don't receive your card within a week, please e-mail me privately and
I will re-send.

Thanks for your patience, and see you on the birds!

Hello, all:

I shall be in Cancun this week, at one of the resorts there. Although I have
not arranged for a reciprocal license and will thus not be on the air, I
would very much like to connect with any local amateurs. Anyone in the area?
Please let me know! E-mail would be best for response.
