I use SATPC32.
The Author Gives AMSAT exclusive rights and his support goes beyond
normal software support.
If the US could knight someone, let it be him. You don't often find
someone to dedicate his time to a worthy project as keeping hams
tracking the birds...

If you want to make a sked with me for a contact on AO-27, please email me
off list and I will see what I can do. I would like to accommodate all
those that are needing FK49 for an award. And PLEASE, if someone is trying
to make a contact with me give them the space. I will only be here another
few days and FK49 will be history.

Despite the increased cost to launch a Phase 3E class spacecraft into a GTO
type orbit it would seem a multitude of launchers are possibilities such as:

1. Molniya 8K78 launch vehicles from Plesetsk and Baikonur. I believe
several dozens of Molniya 1, 2, and 3 series have been launch since 1965.
This launch would be ideal and no propulsive component would be needed.

2. China?s Long March

3. India?s GSLV

4. Japan?s H-IIA

5. Space-X Falcon 9

6. Ariane 5 ME debut 2018

Also, what happen to the rideshare option?

Finally heard the CHIBIS-M RS-39, good strong signal this morning around
1110 UTC in Massachusetts. You could hear it right down to the Horizon 0.5
degrees elevation. It surprised me when I first heard it and then I switched
the radio to CW and let SatPC handle the Doppler. It worked out pretty well.

I did do a livestream recording here is the link http://livestre.am/1fQkr

I know the link looks odd but it works

Enjoy

I will be on AO-27 at 1853z turn on and will be listening for the following
who asked for a contact today: AA5PK, K3CLM, N9IP and AJ4A. I hope to be
able to make these contacts and more if the situation allows.

Hi Bob,

I will be on that pass repeating the words "HANDHELD," "PORTABLE"
(even though I'm in the backyard, and "QRP" (not using 100 watts) over
and over again. Of course I will make sure to give my call sign
several times, slowly, and with improper phonetics. The best part
is, I will squelch out the down link as to not hear any replies.
Would you like me to use the "ON THE ARROW" or "ELK" designator, too?

T G I F - Hope you enjoy the satire!

I am starting up a kit making service for assembling certain kits
made by Downeast Microwave. For those that do not want to make their
own kits, or maybe its gotten too difficult, or just don't have the time.

This a one-man business so I will only be able to build a limited
number per month. My price is the same as offered by DEMI assembled,
plus shipping which should be medium-size flat-rate priority mail in the US.

I am expecting to be able to deliver within 30 days of receipt of
paid order. I am not carrying any inventory so this allows shipping
time to obtain kits and any other materials, and time to test the
finished product plus ship to the customer.

At this time I am limiting this to the VHF/UHF 25w Transceiver
kits. In a couple months I hope to add three amplifier kits from
Communications Concepts, Inc. If there is a something special you
want assembled contact me.

Use the link in the signature line for details.

I got the following note from a ham in the Palm Springs, CA area:

This morning, while getting ready for Saturday's hamfest, I saw this:

>10:05:32R INDIO>RK3KPK Port=1 <UA R F>
>10:05:51R INDIO>RK3KPK Port=1 <RR R F R1>
>10:07:03R INDIO>RK3KPK Port=1 <RR R F R2>

This call is from near Moscow. Is it possible it is from the
ISS? (INDIO is one of our digis.)

There is an RK3KPK, Andrey Mironow, who was an RS satellite command station
years ago.

Any answer I can give about how his call ended up on a WIDE1-1 US digi
string?

Kevin,

HI4 is the prefix for the Dominican Republic, Bob, AJ5C has been vacationing
down there the past month or so and has been activating grid FK48 on AO-27.
His Dominican call sign is HI4/AJ5C

Hopefully I'll get a chance to work him before he leaves.
