Ok I did N9IP's went pretty smooth, signed the dealy bob and uploaded it on
the site. Should I use the site? Or the email? I dont want to overload
anything...

I am sure once I get the hang of it and get everything caught up it will be
alot easyer. So far following the instructions on the ARRL have worked just
fine, got the postcard/email verifacation and everything done in a couple
three days, alot faster and easyer than I thought it would be!

Thanks for the help guys we'll see how it goes! :)

Went through no problem Good Deal!!!

Pretty easy like I said I was discouraged for a long time but now I am glad
I tried it.

Now can I search for stuff others have uploaded that I may not have logged
and match theirs???

US joins effort to draw up space 'code of conduct'

Appears an aim is to prevent other countries developing and testing
anti-satellite weapons.

There is a good article on Early U.S. Recon Satellites in the October 2011
issue of Milsat Magazine
http://www.milsatmagazine.com/2011/MSM_Oct_2011.pdf

It mentions Oscar-1 as a hitchhiker onboard Discoverr -36.

Lance Ginner K6GSJ talked about this in his Keynote address during the last
AMSAT Symposium.

Hi Kevin!

> Pretty easy like I said I was discouraged for a long time but now I am
glad I tried it.

Ever since ARRL added support for the VUCC awards in LOTW, I have put
all my satellite QSOs into that system. It didn't take much to convert my
spreadsheet log into the ADIF format used in LOTW, but it did take some
work to break out the different locations I've operated from. Now that I've
done the hard work in setting that up, it is easy to upload new activity.
Glad to see you've taken the plunge and tried LOTW.

> Now can I search for stuff others have uploaded that I may not have logged
and match theirs???

No. You only see your QSOs and the matches ("QSLs") with other stations
who have uploaded their logs. You can't search through the logs of other
stations finding QSOs that don't match up with your log.

If you haven't already done so, upload your complete satellite log. There
will probably be others who have uploaded their QSOs with you, which
you should see as QSLs. I have a couple dozen QSOs with you in LOTW
waiting to become QSLs. You should already have QSL cards from me
for most of those, which will be the dates/times for the QSOs waiting to be
confirmed in LOTW. Then you can define awards accounts for VUCC
and even WAS, to see how many grids and states you have confirmed
through LOTW.

Kevin,

Once you have received your certificate, you can upload QSOs in two ways.
You can enter them manually with the TQSL software (that's what I do) or, if
you are using a compatible logging program (if it generates Cabrillo files,
it is), you can do it automatically by uploading the Cabrillo file as a
.tq8. If the other station uploads a matching QSO, it will produce a QSL in
LOTW.

Hi all,

Does anyone have experience working the linear birds with a single
IC-706MkIIG?

Thanks
