For those of you who aren't yet ARRL members (or who have lent their
January, 2012 issue of QST magazine to someone else), John Portune W6NBC's
construction article, "A 2 Meter and 70 CM Portable Tape Measure Beam" is
available on the ANTENNAS page at ...

http://www.work-sat.com

A "cut above" just using the 2M tape measure beam projects for the 2M/70CM
FM birds. A well-researched and clean construction project. Thanks to John
for the permission to reprint.

The dish was used by Amateurs in 2007 for Moonbounce.

The owners is reportedly willing to drop the original asking price of $4.2
mil by $1m. See

I'm in for a 1/4000th share! All we need are 3,999 others with about
$1,000 each.

Sounds insane. But--seriously....??

The server that hosts the AMSAT store is down. We are working on the
problem and hope to have the problem fixed by later this evening or early
tomorrow.
