Given the current problems with AO-51, should we be listening for a signal
on 435.150 Mhz? Could another downlink, such as 435.300 MHz, get switched
on randomly?

A great pass of AO-51 at 2:31PM PST over Southern California - and the West
Coast of the U.S. ...

Anyone else going to monitor/work it? I'll be online on Skype - Skype name
is ...

clintbradford

And I'll have my cell phone outside - 909-241-7666.

It is a great, middle-of-the-day pass ... If being illuminated by the Sun
"makes" it happen, this is an
ideal orbit ...

Fingers crossed,

Clint

There have been a few comments about having the control operators do this or
that. Are you guys not listening or what. The thing has been on its last
legs all summer after the last episode with the batteries and they had
enough trouble trying to keep it going then.

Seriously people, get a grip. You really think they are going to try and
activate other things when they can barely keep it going as is. Did you not
see the post about us being lucky its even turning back on after eclipse,
enjoy it while it lasts???

Some peoples kids I swear.

It's unlikely. We think the 435.150 tx is still on a very, very low power,
so if you have a good station you might hear it if the battery voltage comes
up enough.

This week I want to look into trying the S band transmitter. Being from a
cordless phone, it may still work at the lower voltage available.

We've not given up, but patience is the order of the day.

Drew: Thanks for the info. I'll use the big antennas and switch on the

Kevin: I wasn't asking the ops team to make any changes. I was wondering

searching for "signs of life." :)

Clint, maybe YOU need to re-read Kevin's post. He was not 'demeaning'
anything. He was simply reminding people to pay attention to what the
control ops post here...obviously, most do, but some will ask questions that
have already been addressed.

You are in no position to say 'shame on you' to anyone here. While I realize
you are truly a 'legend in your own mind', this status does not require you
to comment on everything posted here. Mind your own business for a change..

All,
With the research and recent "heads up" by Mineo Wakita, JE9PEL, Allan
Biddle, WA4SCA and Clint Bradford, KCLCS it appears there may be only a few
weeks left to receive and experiment with ARISSat-1/RADIOSKAF-V.
On Monday Nov 28 I will be set up to receive voice, CW and SSTV via the
transponder on 145.930 MHz +/- doppler. This will be on the AOS starting
at 14:47 Z pass over Cincinnati. This pass may be too soon after the eclipse
so the sat may not be activated. If it is active, I will try to send a
couple of SSTV R36 transmissions. I will be listening and looking for
others to send also.

Dear Graham,

There was nothing special in the separation systems between the 1U's from
the ELaNa 3 launch. They are certainly close together, in fact there are
three 1Us we think in the link group. Object F appears to be AubieSat and
Object G is E1P. MCubed is somewhere in between it seems.

Object E is RAX-2.

I plan on testing the S band transmitter on AO-51 on the 2010Z AO-51 pass
over the east coast today, and would like some volunteers to help listen for
the transmitter. SDR receive capable stations would be even better since it
may be considerably off frequency. I'll be commanding remotely, so will have
limited receive capabilities, and do not expect to hear the UHF at all.

If you could provide feedback via Skype, all the better. Please contact me
directly if you can help listen.

All,
With the research and recent "heads up" by Mineo Wakita, JE9PEL, Allan

Farrell Winder, W8ZCF
Cincinnati, Ohio.
