I have just added the Proceedings of the AMSAT-NA 29th Space Symposium
and AMSAT-NA Annual Meeting to the AMSAT online store under Publications.

If you were unable to attend the Symposium, this is your chance to get a
copy of the Proceedings. Copies are limited and available on a
first-come, first-served basis.

Finally worked out the bugs in my receiving setup for E1P. My antenna is
only a 70 cm HO loop with a mast mounted preamp. Haven't yet repaired the
G-5500 (Yaesu hasn't responded to my queries!). Surprisingly, that antenna
works quite well for E1P. Here's how I configured my equipment:

Receiver Mode: LSB
Freq: 437.5017 at pass start (excluding Doppler) drifting down to
437.50110. This could either be due to a slight error in the keps, or drift
in the satellite's transmitter. This requires manual tweaking of the
receiver in addition to Doppler correction. I tuned the receiver so the 1
second tuning tone from E1P was at the upper 1200 baud packet marker in
MixW.

Demodulator: MixW set at normal 1200 baud packet. Using a virtual serial
port emulator to connect to the E1P telemetry decoder. Also fed the audio
to a KPC-9612, but was not able to decode any packets, even though MixW was
having no problem with the signal.

I'm really amazed that I could collect data from a cube sat using my omni
antenna! So far my best (in two passes) was 23 decoded telemetry frames.

I would like to also add my Kudos to the group. Thanks for
arrangements. Good thing Dennys was nearby for cheap breakfast...HA!
Hopefully, we all took a new perspective on membership needs and
requirements to our home states.

Hello,

I'm having problems with my LVB tracker project. After successful programing
on the pic (16F876A), I'm not getting any response via Hyperterminal and
there is no text on the LCD display. I have HDR1 jumper in run and HDR2 in
off .

Can some one help me troubleshoot or provide any tips ?

Thank you,

Let me echo this..

Facebook is one of the sites that tries to read and write way way
to much to my system. My spam / virus system just will not let
me go there.

Hi, everyone,

I just read the story of "Fifty Years in Space" by David, K1ZZ in the
November issue of QST. It's good to review the history of amateur
satellite and it reminds me that I have a lot of AMSAT friends there
in the United States. It was a thrill to be a part of AMSAT team in
Dayton this year and that was the 1st show of AMSAT-China to the
world.

The first Chinese amateur satellite was launched in 2009. We are late
but we are eventually there.
