Hello Guys

?

Thanks very much
for attended at my call from the University during the Satellite
Demonstration. It was a
great experience and inspiration for students and teachers in the Physics
class. They
saw the Doppler effects in a very practical way, remembered the Kleper
Theories and the
rotation of Faraday. ?They were very curious
and interested with the AMSAT and our hobby in general.

?

Thanks also to
allow me the contact with K8BL/VE1 from my portable conditions.

?

I haven’t had
the opportunity to say thanks until now; because of, I haven’t had
email service.

?

73!

?

Thanks again

Dear All,

I am running an APRS iGate on 2M locally using UI-View32, AGWPE and a
KPC-9612+ TNC (callsign 9M4GQC).

I wonder if it would be possible to add the capability of sending live
satellite passes as objects to the local APRS RF (not the Internet) network
so as to alert local users when a satellite passes over our area.

Would be also great if we could add the frequency information so that
Kenwood and Yaesu APRS users can directly QSY to the satellite's frequency.

Tried to look up the net but could not find any articles or software to do
do. Any pointers are much welcome and appreciated.

Thank you.

Bob, K8BL, will be heading back from Nova Scotia
Saturday and will stop somewhere in FN55 during the
afternoon. He could work an AO-27 or an AO-51 pass.
This grid is pretty rare so try not to miss him.

Thanks for the reply. Yes I saw Bob's page using a separate PM function of
the TM-D700 to do it, but will be great if there are some automatic methods
available.

Ok looks like this Sun, Mon for the DN grids. Like I said before I am not
going to try and make a schedual, just know that it IS happening for sure
This Sun, Mon. DN00 will be on the early Sun morning passes followed by DN
10,11. I will hit those on the way back so more people get a chance on
those. All of Sun Mon will be DN20,21.

I bought a duplexer for the 857 and will be trying the SSB birds. If you
hear me please talk long enough for me to tune you in, hopefully some of you
will have the patience to work with me. I am sure after making a couple
contacts I will get the hang of it.
