Seems like the MET is resetting? I could have sworn that the tlm I copied
in the 11:00 UTC pass had a MET in the 700s (my memory may be off a bit,
could have been 400s?), now it's 323 at 12:40 UTC? I figured that the 700
this morning may have been because it rolled over at 999999 but...

I just did a quick crystal ball analysis and for September, the passes
over the US will be more toward normal school hours and we should have
more participation of classrooms that are adding this to any courses
etc. Presently, there are only a few diehards staying up past bedtime
to listen to ARRISat-1. I don't think classroom activity will ramp
up until the daytime passes begin.
Keep up the publicity. Keep forwarding the important telemetry data
to the team. (see upcoming ANS-226 this weekend.)

The IC-W32a is susceptible to heavy intermod. I had a pair of them before
they stopped selling them the first time.
I was in a predominantly intermod area, Phoenix, AZ. When I went out the the
mountains it would be fine. I got rid of the radios and went with pair of
IC-T7H's. They are 10 years old now and been thru hell and back, they work
just fine.

If your 530 is working don?t fix it..

When I transmit to a satellite I do not hear myself on the downlink. I've
read that tuning with the +/- keys in SatPC32 should bring my signal into
the downlink. How far off center could these numbers be before I would hear
myself?

I am tuning to +/- 3000 or so and hear nothing even on very high passes.

Any hints or tips would be greatly appreciated!

The latest on the ARISSATTLM web page shows the bird in "emergency power"?
I'm not at home to do extensive web discovery but given the earlier
possible clock reset and now this, are things OK?

Dear Gould / ARISSat-1 team,

Thanks for sharing this !

When the battery would go dead (or has very long charge times),
to what extend would that also impact the low power mode ?

Better phrazed: what are the requirements to go/stay in low power mode ?

Is there a (no power) mode, where there is not enough power to go even
into low power mode ? A kind of test/emergency mode, where the
uplink/xponder and even FM is off but only the CW beacon is still on ?

... another question:
Which type of command capabilities are available to the team,
only a bare minimum (satellite TX on/off) or more ?

Best regards,
Henk, PA3GUO

> The ARISSat-1 Battery voltage is decreasing each eclipse period. It
therefore
is taking longer for the Battery to charge up to 32.5V to allow the switch
from
Low Power to High Power when the satellite enters an illumination period.

Dear All,

I notice that the MET was reset too as per the following telemetry
copied from ARISSat-1 over West Malaysia:

12 Aug at 1822 MYT (3 deg Elevation)
MET - 69min
IHU Temp - 42c
-Nothing else heard due to strong QSB-

12 Aug at 1955 MYT (57 deg Elevation)
MET - 65 min
IHU Temp - 42C
Control Panel Temp - 31C
Battery Voltage - 35.50v
Battery Current - ??? (strong QSB)

Sorry for the delay in sending this out, as I was away from the shack.
And hope that this will be useful to the command team.
