Hi Pete,
I think the person who actually updates the SA-AMSAT home page is traveling
a lot at the moment.
This week - ending today (Sunday) is the Americas.
The rest of this month is different from the usual schedule due to the
problems with the charge of SO-67.
I hope they have solved it :-)
The rest of June is scheduled according to this plan if all goes well:
Monday 6 June ? Sunday 12 June Americas
Monday 13 June ? Sunday 19 June Europe
Monday 20 June ? Sunday 3 July Australasia 2 weeks
I can publish the European week - but I will wait until Sunday.
There may be changes to the wish list.
Hope you all understand the conditions.
Have a nice Sunday.

Emne: [amsat-bb] SO-67 Schedule
It can sometimes be quite difficult to find when SO-67 will be on air. The
schedules aren't always posted here, or on the amsatsa website.
As an occasional amateur satellite operator, it can be frustrating to not be
able to look up when this bird is on air. Those more regular operators
probably don't suffer with this problem quite so much. I understand the
payload is a secondary one, however if the schedule was kept up to date it
would be very helpful :-)
There have been several emails on the -bb stating the loose schedule of one
week in four for the US, Europe etc. These can be difficult to find, may I
suggest that it be put up on either the amsatsa website that is linked to as
"schedule information" or on the amsat-na page with a disclaimer that this
is a general schedule that isn't always in force for operational reasons. ?
Just a suggestion
73
Pete

If you got his card, all you have to do is mail it to his address on the
card. I forget what postage is...it took a couple stamps (I googled it).

All,
A reminder that the deadline for submission of nominations is Wednesday,
June 15th. Tick Tock! If you wish to serve, or you know someone you think
should serve, now is your chance. It requires only 5 members, or one member
society, to nominate. New this year, to accommodate last minute nominations
to the maximum extent our existing bylaws permit, an electronic option now
exists. Please see the details in the announcement below from the ANS, or
on the WWW.AMSAT.ORG web site.
Alan Biddle
WA4SCA
AMSAT Corporate Secretary
========================================
It is time to submit nominations for the upcoming open seats on the
AMSAT-NA Board of Directors. The deadline is June 15th. A valid nom-
ination requires either one Member Society, or five current individual
members in good standing, to nominate an AMSAT member for the position.
Four director's terms expire this year:
Barry Baines, WD4ASW
Alan Biddle, WA4SCA
Drew Glasbrenner, KO4MA
Tony Monteiro, AA2TX
The four candidates receiving the highest number of votes will be
seated as full Board members for two year terms. The two candidates
receiving the next highest number of votes will be seated as alternate
Board members for one year terms.
Beginning this year, in addition to traditional submissions of written
nominations which remains unchanged and is the preferred method, initial
nominations may be made by electronic means.=A0 These include e-mail,
FAX, or electronic image of a petition. Electronic petitions should be
sent to MARTHA@xxxxx.xxx or faxed to 301-608-3410. Written nominations,
consisting of names, calls, and individual signatures, should be mailed
to:
AMSAT-NA
850 Sligo Ave #600
Silver Spring, MD, 20910
No matter what method is used, petitions MUST arrive no later than
June 15th at the AMSAT-NA office. If the nomination is a traditional
written nomination, no other action is required. If it is other than
this, i.e. electronic, a verifying traditional written petition MUST
be received at the AMSAT-NA office at the above address within 7 days
following the close of nominations on June 15th. ELECTRONIC SUBMISSIONS
WITHOUT THIS SECOND, WRITTEN VERIFICATION ARE NOT VALID UNDER THE EXIST-
ING AMSAT-NA BYLAWS.

Vincenzo;
While I can't profess to be an expert on the TrakBox, (I just got one
and am in process of setting up), I think that you should read the
software manual carefully. You have an option of north or south pointing
and you can set limits of travel. The difference in travel on yours is
that it turns 450 degrees. I don't think the TrakBox can deal with the
conversion of the extra 90 degrees wrapping around (Experts weigh in
here). But you can program the ADC limits so that it will track 0-360. I
don't see any logical reason to change the scale on your azimuth meter.

Yes---I sent Hector a postcard straight to his address---took about a week,
maybe less, and arrived just fine. Others are seeing the same
results--direct mail!

Hello Kev,
AO-51 is, for the most part, needing to be turned ON by a command station
every orbit after an eclipse. There have been a couple of exceptions where
it has lasted a couple or several orbits without needing to be turned back
on by a command station. We saw it operational for almost 24 hours a few
days ago. We don't really understand why...so it isn't something we can
reproduce at will.
So--operators outside of the US are at a great disadvantage, with the
exception of part of southeast Asia--which is where the bird goes in
sunlight after a US pass. Once it goes into eclipse, it's likely to be off.
We're doing what we can. Maybe in time we'll better characterize exactly
what is going on, but at best it's not going to be easy.
We wish the news was better!

The SO-67 team has shifted the schedule to include the Americas this
coming week. I've submitted activation requests for 15 minutes starting
at the times listed below. They have informed me that the repeater may
or may not be active based on the battery state. The times followed by *
are the prioritized passes.

Kind of juvenile and a waste of power. Including the other 6 or so
