Unfortunately, it's probably going to be overcast here in SoCal.
I just updated the Keps in GPredict, and I'll step outside when it's due
over, but we might not see anything tonight.....

Alexandru has just made Gpredict 1.3 available free for all you Windows

Of course, it's also available for Mac and Linux users.

I think with a little research we will find that these frequencies are
already in use by automobile tire pressure monitors on existing vehicles
and maybe even garage door openers...
Almost Part 95 type stuff if no...

It is possible there was an orbit change thrust performed after the shuttle
docked.
When the Shuttle docks with ISS, the ISS autopilot is turned OFF.
The Shuttles autopilot takes over for the duration of the flight.

yes, the end of an Era.
In the Mir days, i could fly a ham project to Mir in less than 18 months
from theory to Switch on.
Now with ARISS/AMSAT, it takes 5-10 years.
It has been a boring past 10 years.

Thanks Nigel!
Please note that I have uploaded and updated windows package few
minutes ago. The first package had a bug by using an ugly, built-in
default theme rather than following the windows theme. It has now been
fixed in the new package gpredict-win32-1.3-2.zip
Ubuntu Linux users can get the latest package from our PPA:

Sorry Jan, I only know of Gpredict in Macports, Fink and the HMUG ports.
Theoretically, it should be possible to build a standalone bundle
using http://gtk-osx.sourceforge.net/ but I have not have time to try
it.

Hi All,
This page refers to a major orbit boost planned for sometime after June?
using the ATV as a big thruster
http://www.nasaspaceflight.com/2011/02/live-atv-2-prepares-for-docking-to-inte
rnational-space-station/
No doubt this will seriously change the TLEs!
It will improve the footprint/pass durations but reduce the visual
brightness I suppose.
Something to look forward to!
cheers
Graham
