Chinese New Year for the past week, nobody is working on the bird, and
Alan is now enjoying his vacation in FO/Frech Polynesia. :)

So....give him some time. He deserves it.

FYI,

Another historic contact this afternoon when Pierre ZS8M on Marion island

made contact with John ZD9GI on Gough Island (both remotely located islands

in the South Atlantic ) at 1552 on AO-51. At most they had about 10-20
degrees elevation

and both were operating portable.

Today Pierre logged ZS1LS, ZS2BK, ZS3SVD, ZR5JT, 5R8KH, ZS1UR , ZS6AC, ZD9GI
and V51PJ

John logged ZS1LS, ZS8M, V51PJ, ZS1UR, ZS3SCD, V51PJ and ZR5JT.

If you want these rare DXCC entities confirmed via Satellite, this is you
best opportunity.

Both Pierre and John will be active on the afternoon passes for the next
few days.

73 Allan.

I am trying to find BPSK 1000 on GNU website. I can't find the code they
mention. I would appreciate someone telling me what I am missing or doing
wrong. I am running Windows.

Many thanks, Pete, K1HZU

As long as you keep the yagis reasonably low gain, and therefore a
reasonably broad pattern in elevation, you will find that this is a
very good -- some would say ideal -- setup for LEO work. Your text
above says 'fixed 15* set-up", and I'm not sure if that fulfills the
low gain requirement above. If you're worried about all the technical
requirements, consider using an antenna rotor with a manual control.
Again, if the beam is wide enough, you will be able to twiddle this
easily, and the price is right for these units.

SatPC32 is indeed flexible enough to control az only, though the exact
arrangement will depend on the rotors and their controllers.

Pete,
I would take Dave Taylor's advice that he sent earlier and wait for the
official release of the BPSK1000 software.

Hi Clint,

Not my site, I just pointed out where to download the ARISSatTLM
beta version.

I could put this software on my site without problems, but
Douglas KA2UPW/5 say:
PLEASE DO NOT DISTRIBUTE THIS VERSION AT THIS TIME.

When final version is available to the public and released for
redistribution, I willhappy to stay in one of my sites.

Assunto: [amsat-bb] Decoding Software for ARISSat-1

The Web site that Carlos is using to host the decoding software is giving
browsers' "security warnings" and "invalid certificates" messages.

Can "we" assist Carlos and host his wares somewhere else?

I realize that going to his site is probably all fine ... but the warnings are
enough to possible scare some away frm the project.

As I posted on Monday, the ARISSatTLM software is not yet ready for
distribution. We are still testing it.

We expect to release the free ARISSatTLM software next week.
This software will demodulate, decode and display the BPSK-1000 telemetry
and Experiment data as well as the CW signal.

There will be both PC and Mac versions.

I have stepped outside my bounds - and I apologize. Carlos and the ARISSat-1
Team have this well under control.

NO FURTHER REPLIES really necessary.
