I have two Icom hand mics. Both have 8 pin foster connectors. Both seem to
work with the 910, including the up/dwn frequency function. For some reason
I labeled one 2 wire, the other 3 wire. I forgot why I did this. Anyone have
a clue before I start taking them apart to try and figure out?

The answer is....

http://deimert.se/icom_hm36/

As I don't know where the original HM-12 is I replacing it with an HM-36.
There are two versions. I will ship the 2 wire with 910. The person who is
buying it is going to replace it with a DTMF mic anyway. I will save the 3
wire HM-36 to go with the IC-7200 that I'm also selling. Me, I can't hear
any difference between the two mic's.

It surpprises me that, 4 days after launch, Space Track appears to not have
keps for the bird despite having given it
(and the other payload components) int.designators on Sunday. We usually get
keps first and designators/names some days
later.

If you'll read their webpages, you'll see that most are NOT going to
end up in Celestrak/Spacetrack. . As I understand it, it has to do
with Department of Defense issues/policies?

I'll be on Banks Island (IOTA NA-129) all this weekend from grid CQ71
Not sure which satellite passes but I'll try to at least be on all the
HO-68 (SSB) and AO-51 passes that favor North America and Europe. Will
also be on HF, mostly SSB.

Hi all,

I'm hoping to catch the SO-50 pass, 11/24, 20:51-21:05 UTC pass from the
top of mammoth mtn, grid locator DM07LP. Going to listen for and try to
work ISS approx 20min before that.
Will then be on the AO-51 pass at 00:00-00:15 UTC from the nearby
"flatlands", DM07MP.

I haven't worked SO-50 yet so we'll see how it goes :)

Hi Nigel / Mark.

The lack of TLEs at celestrak is a little strange.

Nanosail-D is due to deploy from FASTSAT 7 days after launch. Its sail
is large compared to the 1U cube and the drag at 650km will be high. If I
read the info correctly, re-entry is expected in 70 - 120 days, which from
650k is amazingly short and very interesting. (How high can you orbit a
satellite and still get it to deorbit in 25 years etc etc)

However....back to the lack of TLEs. Nanosail-D has a 70cm beacon which
will last about 12 days and NASA invites reports. They also have TLEs and a
map on the "Nanosail-D dashboard" so presumably it's not a security issue.
Just a shame to do all the searching of sites when celestrack is usually so
reliable.

TS Kelso has also made a few comments on his twitter pages.
