Good evening, all, from Monterey, CA (CM96AO).

Tomorrow I'll be up the road in Santa Cruz (CM86XX) to work a few of the FM

I plan to work the following:
HO-68 at 1715Z
AO-27 at 2013Z

AO-51 at 1552Z.

I may still be in CM86 for the 0028Z pass of AO-51 or I may be back in CM96.

Anyone who works me from either CM86 or CM86 and needs a QSL, please e-mail
me with the QSO details and I'll drop a card in the mail to you. No SASE or

Take a 27" piece.
bend into a V so one leg is 19" and one is 6"
Take two more pieces 39" long to make the ground plane.
Connect coax to the V and shield to the ground plane.
Operate.

Dave,

Are you using the Java Version or the Classic version?

Personally, I prefer the classic. If you need I have a copy.

Rick,

I am using Java version. It is complaining about a required field
<jnlp> missing from the launch file.

I find that I can't get to www.satscape.co.uk so maybe Satscape is not
able to update itself.

I would be interested in getting the classic version from you.

Thanks,
Dave W8IJ

Dave,

I just Google's Satscape and found this alternate page:
http://www.satscape.info/modx/index.php?id=50

See if this works for you.

Is anyone who uses Satscape to track the satellites having problems getting
the program to "launch" on 8/20/10? The program ran fine on 8/19/10 but I
can't get it to run today. When JAVA starts up I get the following message
"Unable to launch the application". My JAVA is up to date and my internet
connection is up and running just fine. I tried re-installing both Satscape
and JAVA with no luck. I don't like Orbitron and I can't get Gpredict to
run after downloading the binary windows version (I get a .dll file error
even though the specified .dll file is present). Any other suggestions for
"FREE" tracking software? I do not need rotor or rig control... Just basic
satellite prediction. (My e-mail is guyjeanbraun@xxxxxxx.xxxx

Thanks,

  Guy
