AO51 was off last pass. Thanks to PY5LF for the spot on the Carr page. I
think it's a simple fix and we should have it back on this coming pass.

We got a late start today, leaving around 1530z. Only
one pass was attempted, AO-51 at 2226z. The location was
EN84FG Tawas, MI, in a park on Lake Huron. Seventeen
contacts were made including one with TI2SW who made a
rare appearance. Also worked XE1AO early in the pass.

We are in Alpena MI now which is in EN85. Tomorrow we
continue north to Sault St Marie on the US side. The
next day we will be in Canada in EN85 and EN86.

So far the equipment is working fine. It is hot here, 91
this afternoon. Thanks to all who worked me from Tawas.
Recording made from EN91 is on my website.

Good morning,

I am hoping someone can help answer a question. I am running SatPC32 12.8a
and controlling my Yaesu FT 897 as my uplink radio. Everything works fine
except that I cannot get the subtones to update.

I am using the following data in my SubTones.SQF file (as recommended in the
help files)

AO-51,67.0,$3F,1
SO-50,67.0,$3F,1
SO-50,74.4,$3E,3
SO-67,233.6,$01,36
HO-68,67.0,$3F,1

I'm running Windows XP and my baud rate is 9600, although I have varied it
to see if that would resolve my issue.

Everything thing updates on the radio as it should (including the radio
turning the tones 'on' and going into split mode); the only issue is that
the tone is not updated, it will stay on the last tone used. For example if
I use our local repeater, the radio will still use that tone.

Thanks in advance for any help or ideas.

Matt.......my suggestion is to delete version 12a and get the latest version
off
the website, as I have no problems with v12b. Also, my HO-67 uses the same
data, $3F,1 not what you have. See what others say, as dont depend on this
old
guy, hi.

I hate to ask the obvious, but you ARE clicking the "T" button in the upper
left
section of the SatPC32 screen to turn the subtone on, right?? (and on SO-50,
clicking a second time to toggle between the two tones?if necessary...)

Hi George,

Yes I am...and that's how I realized that the subtones weren't updating.

Hi Matt,

Just to double check---do you have the sub-tone option turned ON?
Check Setup/Options and make sure "Sub-Audio-Tone" is checked...

There will be a brief change in AO-51's schedule as follows:

We are currently running only the 435.300 voice transmitter at about
750 mW with PL tone activation of the transmitter.

On 5 August from approximately 9:55 utc to 21:05 utc AO-51 will be
running the 435.150 telemetry transmitter ON at 340 mW and the 435.300
voice transmitter at about 470 mW with PL tone activation of the
transmitter.

We are making this mode change in order to provide a telemetry
collection demonstration for a cubesat team.

Around 21:05 utc (or the next pass, which is 22:44utc) the change back
should occur ( the 435.300 voice transmitter at about 750 mW with PL
tone activation of the transmitter, 435.150 transmitter OFF).
