Erich, If I do a file explorer search for kepler, I see the AppData
folder. However, in SatPC32 I do not see AppData in c:\Users\Owner,
even if I run SatPC32 as Administrator. So I can not get at nasa.all in
the _normal_ manner. ~Larry W7IN

Erich, FIXED. For whatever reason, Windows 7 hides many of the files
and folders in AppData, including the AppData folder. What I did was to
search for Kepler, opened that folder, and then entered by hand
'nasa.all'. That seems to have fixed the problem. So why did it get
messed up in the first place? We had a power outage the day this
happened. Maybe SatPC32 had the folders/files open when the power
glitched and left the files in a critical state. I might suggest
opening the file(s) and leave a copy in memory, then close the file (if
that is even the case). If I think to, I always download a new keps
when I begin operation, but I have not thought to restart SatPC32
afterward. Please comment. Thanks much for the help. I've _got_ to get
a good UPS for my station computer.

Hello Larry,
I don't know what went wrong with your Keps file that caused the error
message.
The folder AppData is a hidden folder by default. Sorry - I forgot to
mention that in my first mail. With my PCs I have changed that setting
(Windows Explorer - Tools - Folder Options - View). So, here all files and
folders are visible.
Regardless of the setting of that option SatPC32 displays the path of the
sub folder "Kepler" in a foot line of the menu "Satellites" and it would be
good to note that path.
Also, the data folder "SatPC32" contains a sub folder "DataRepair" with a
backup of the most important data files. If something goes wrong with a data
file that you can't fix you can copy the files from the sub folder
"DataRepair" into the main folder.

Ken,
The manual ia available in different versions on DK1TB's web site.
See: http://www.dk1tb.de/downloadeng.htm Halfway down the Page.
Make sure you also read the radio file in the "?" menu in the SaptPC that is
relevant for your radio.
Many questions get asked on the AMSAT BB about SatPC and a majority of them
are covered in the manual, Radio files and FAQ.
Enjoy!

Hello SAT friends,
A little self promotion:
Few days ago I founded in my post office box the VUCC Satellite Award # 197.
Very nice piece of paper.
The next award project is AMSAT Sexagesimal Award. For SAT DXCC I must wait
for the P3E.
Best regards & 73

Congratulations on the VUCC award. I got mine in 2004 and it is
numbered 135. Not alot of folks getting them I guess. I am surprised
what with all the grids being passed out on the FM birds now days.

Japanese CubeSat Negai (object ID number:36575) reentered??
The latest keps which is element set number 29, epoch 10172.70653775
shows Negai's perigee altitude is under 100km. There is no official
info (eg. Space Track) but I guess Negai already reenterd.
Does anyone have reenter info??

Got my Sat VUCC just a little ahead of you John (#125 in March of 2003).
Among my cards is a CW QSO with KG4OX at Gitmo via RS-13 (March 1999).
Uplink was 21 MHz ... downlink was 29 MHz. It was a Florida Contest Club
Expedition with ops W4OX and KX4WW and we all appreciated their effort.
Loved the Russian birds.

Greetings All
I want to ask about the proper way to fill out a QSL satellite card . I
did some research online and I was unable to find anything in regards to
the rst reports . How do you do that ? Do you report 'O' like when you do
EME moon bounce or you report 59 like when you making a regular contacts ?
Thank you,
Yanko de KC9RDT

You fill out whatever you told the guy on the other end of the QSO when you
gave him a signal report as part of the QSO.
Something like "your 5 and 9 old man. Please repeat your call and location!"

Not sure what "regular" is but if the guy is 2db below ESP
he ain't going to get 5 and 9 from me.
