Yaesu FT-736R

Nothing comes close in FM and its also very good in SSB.

FM has 3 triple conversion RX and Normal and narrow FM filters.
Easy to use Sat mode switch for Doppler correction.

I have owned both Yaesu FT-736R and the Icom IC-910.

Yaesu FT-736R vrs IC-910

Easier to use.
Doppler correction very easy.
25 watt output make it easy to pair up with external amps.
FM Rx great, plus the narrow FM filters (great for city work)
Does not require external Pre-amps, as does the 910.
Cost 50% to 75% less than a 910

I worked graveyard shift, so had it on auopilot.
But all I am getting is a screen of static..
Antenna is tracking fine. 145.800 FM
Using MMSSTV.
Any ideas what I may be doing wrong ?
Is it transmitting over the east coast of the US?

The best FM-only dual band rig I've tried for sats is the Kenwood TM-V7.
Hears in UHF (and VHF) like a champ.

What do you hear when you listen to it?
SSTV is easily recognisable by ar.

Hi,

I found a GPredict version for windows :)

http://sourceforge.net/projects/gpredict/files/Gpredict/1.1/gpredict-win32-tru
nk-20091105.7z

Is is a 7zip file that could be a problem for some, so I placed a zip
version in my download area. (Link in the signature, it not a fast link
so could take a while if you use that url)

Have fun with this software.

Photo summary of the new Apple iPad. WiFi-only units start at $499. Will run
PocketSat3 and most of the 140,000 apps in the App Store.
