I noted a number of times the past few days either AO-7 & XW-1 or VO-52 &
XW-1 were visible to each other over NA. 5 KHz of VO-52s downlink and all
of AO-7's 2m downlink fall into XW_1's uplink. With signals as strong as
they are, it should be possible to make cross satellite contacts, ie.
U/U. In on VO-52 or AO-7, out on XW-1. Just an observation but I don't
recommend trying it as may interfere with other users.

I think that the whole problem is the sheer number of stations trying to get
into the bird at the same time... destructive interference occurs between
all the differently-phased PL tones, and NO ONE gets in most of the time.

I would love to see how much easier it would be to use with the tone turned
off. Either that, or leave it in linear mode all the time.........

I have the same problem with my TS-2000. I get into all other FM sats but
sure can't raise XW-1.

OK so what is the trick to work the FM repeater on WX-1 ? Using TS-2000? and
set to :

Uplink: 145.8250 MHz FM, PL 67.0 Hz.
Downlink 435.6750 MHz FM
 I have no problem working
Linear Transponder.........................

I haven't been able to get into the sat either in FM or linear. And I work
AO-7 and VO-52 regularly as well as the FM birds. Frustrating so far but I
will keep at it.
