Same here.
Using 100W and X-quad. And no pass trough.
Or the pilote tone is changed or the uplink frequentie or the squelch on the
input is set too high.

Hi,
I was unable to open the uplink with my Yaesu FT-847. The PL tone was
set 67.0 Hz but unable to open the uplink channel.
During the pass I tryed the following.
- Checked Subtone.SQF file twice SatPC32 (XW-1,67.0,$3F,1)
- Checked Doppler.SQF (XW-1,435675,145825,FM,FM,NOR,0,0,Repeater-BBS)
- Restarted SatPC32
- Switched of and on the Yaesu FT-847
- Did a manual setup via menu option 12 for the tone frequentie
- Used FMN on the uplink
Nothing worked :(
There where only three or four stations active during this pass
and that makes me wonder if I was the only one with tone problems?
I did receive some BBS Packets:
BJ1SA-12>BBSTAT>UI,C,F0:
Open BJ1SA-12:0
BJ1SA-12>BBSTAT>UI,C,F0:
Open BJ1SA-12:0
Maybe beter luck next time

I was trying, even with full power with no effect.
Signal from transponder was noisy but strong (HB9 and IK...), i thing they
had problems too.

Hi all in Europe,
I do not think anything was wrong with the satellite -
but there may have been 100's of stations on.
The first time it was on it worked very well.
This time I heard at least 3 stations getting through.
During the first time it worked we made many more
QSO's and I have not changed my setting since then.
I could not get in as well.
May be those who got through can tell us what they used in
terms of frequency settings, PLL tone and power (EIRP) ?
Merry Christmas and A Happy New Year to all.

Hi all,
seems half Europe had the same problem with this WX-1 evening pass.
Only the big guns (UR5BFX, IW4DVZ, SV1EEK, HB9OAB) had more or less success
- but I heard only one successful QSO between Francesco (IW4DVZ) and Nikolai
(UR5BFX) at the begin of our pass. No more other contacts till LOS :-(

Wouldn't a big gun with no PLL capture the receiver and prevent it from

Hi pe0sat and All,
We managed to record the telemetry channel on the oz7sat system. As far as I
can tell the only thing to notice is that the transponder was turned off
during the middle of the pass. Somewhere between 18:49 and 18:52. The rest
of the channels look pretty much like last time it was in FM transponder
mode.
You can see the telemetry for the pass here:
http://www.amsat.dk/oz7sat/tlm/view.php?starttime=2009-12-21+18%3A35%3A00&en
dtime=2009-12-21+18%3A55%3A40&c=1&c=2&c=3&c=4&c=5&c=6&c=7&c=8&c=9&c=10&c=11&
c=12&c=13&c=201&rows=1000&sat=xw1&order=2&mode=0&receiver=Any&show=table&mod
ulation=any&quality=0
If this long link doesnt work then try this one:
http://www.amsat.dk/oz7sat/sched.php?gs=All&sat=XW-1&status=All
Click on View Telemetry for the 18:35 pass.
Regards

5 years ago or so when I used to travel for work 3 weeks a month I ran a
TS-2000 located at home remotely from whatever hotel room I was operating
from. I would then run Skype from the hotel room also. I found out I could
link the audio from the remote TS-2000 with Skype. I used to have a lot of
fun working DX from my home station on Satellites, and HF. I had a 4L
Steppir, rotor, and 2 wire antennas on HF, and my KLM's, with remote az/el
rotor on the Sats.
I found out I could allow my Skype contacts to work DX, using my home
station, via my hotel room connection. It was more fun for me to let
someone else use my station supplying the tx audio, with me doing the PTT,
then it was for me. You west coast guys would of loved this on A-07, to work
into EU. Happy holidays to all....

Hello All,
Just heard RS-22's CW telemetry for 2009/12/22 00:30 UTC.
RS22
UBS - 139 137 on board voltage/10v
IBS - 20 20 on board current mA
USUN - 146 0 solar cell voltage
ISUN - 78 0 solar cell current mA
ITXA - 0 0
ITXB - 0 0
TTXA - 111 111
TTXB - 109 109
TNAP - 110 110
TCTR - 110 110
TSBA - 107 108
TSBB 88 104 125
MODB 145 145 145
MODC 6 6 6
MTX 35 35 -
MRX 34 34 -
Using details from Mike DK3WN's site to crunch the data, I come up with
the following.
USUN and ISUN give the the solar panel outputs as producing 14.6v at
78mA working during one frame and nothing during the next.
I suppose this indicates a faulty solar panel. The satellite was in
full sunlight during the pass.
More monitoring needed.

Hi, I just caught RS-22 on the dark side !!
There is my result on a 30 deg pass at 01h15 UTC 22-12-2009
RS22
UBS - 134 134
IBS 27 27 27
USUN 0 0 0
ISUN 0 0 0
ITXA 0 0 0
ITXB 0 0 0
TTXA 112 112 -
TTXB 111 111 -
TNAP 111 111 -
TCTR 111 112 -
TSBA 110 109 -
TSBB 91 85 -
MODB 145 145 -
MODC 6 6 -
MTX 35 35 -
MRX 34 34 -
Hope this will help !!
Probably if the solar panels are defective... it explains why sometime
we don't ear it... maybe....

I copied the HO-68 beacon tonight during pass 90.
Here is what I noted:
0153 at 16 degrees cw sig was at 795
0155 at 20 degrees cw sig was at 792.8
0156 at 22 degrees cw sig was at 790
0158 at 20 degrees sig was at 787.32
0159 at 16 degrees sig was at 785.3
0201 at 12 degrees sig was at 784.
It was clear and clean.

Dear friends,
HO-68 over Europe is a reality, but with some degree of frustation. I heard
the bird at 10 degrees (loc KM17), I called and I made two QSO's with RZ6MB
and Nikolay, UR5BFX, with excellent signals. May be these are the first QSOs
over Europe with the new chinese bird. But when the satellite reached an
elevation of 30 degrees, I was not able to enter the uplink channel. I heard
some calls from Nikolay, and a couple of minutes later I heard HB9OAB
calling and calling through the wlole pass, but I was not able to enter the
repeater. I suspect that many station were trying to enter, but the only
station heard was HB9OAB with a strong signal. Do you have any explanation?
Any way I thank our chinese colleagues for this Chrismas present and I hope
to enjoy the next passes,

Just wondering if anyone has the thread about the status of P3E and
Eagle. I have been away for six years and am rebuilding the station
now. Just trying to figure out what gear to build for what birds.
Thanks in advance,
Chad

Hi Mike and All,
Yes I made a qso with UR5BFX at the beginning of pass
with my usual set-up, 22 elements cross yagi up and half power (50
watts)....
After that I couldn't get through the transponder even full power (120
watts)
...I didn?t understand why....the pll tone, the uplink frequency,...
everything
was ok, but....
This is really strange because the downlink signal, and also
packet burst, was into my 38 elements cross yagi antenna, with SP 7000
preamp on, 9+30 !!
...any idea ?
