I just saw the space station for the first time ever. It was a beautiful

SO-67 was not heard over the eastern USA as
scheduled. It could be that there was a problem
with my receiver but it was working on the earlier
AO-51 pass. Did anyone else hear SO-67 this morning?

Just check the time are now in UTC instead if SAT missed a couple of pass
due to this. Always used UTC when giving schedule time for any
satllite related events. That's what UTC has been made for.

The 1340Z pass was too far east of me, but nothing heard on the scheduled
1514Z pass.

Why does all think that SO67 is suppose to be on this weekend?????

The email you read said it "was a suggested schedule"

The SO67 web page has not updated the satellites schedule since last
weekend.

This suggests to me that SO67 will not be on this weekend.

Also the "not hearing it" reports confirm that.

Tim,

By all means try out using a binocular or a telescope but don't rush out and
buy something just for this unless you are prepared to buy something
specifically for viewing celestial bodies. My point is that a handheld
binocular is not stable enough to hold the celestial body in the field of
view. You can try using a tripod but a regular camera tripod is sometimes
difficult to work with as they are designed to keep something very still as
opposed to tracking something on both azimuth and elevation.

Again, definitely try things out but I would start with something borrowed
if you don't already own a binocular or a telescope.

Just my 2 cents.

I read the message as being more than just a suggestion from Jan-Albert...it
read to me as a planned schedule. The "suggested" reference was simply to
give credit to the regional coordinators for their input...I did not view it
as meaning the schedule Jan-Albert put out was just suggested.

This all said, the bird is still in testing which means to me that *all*
published/planned schedules are in the "anticipated" category ;>)

Hi David, K6CDW

I agree with you.

In my opinion the message of Jan-Albert has only the purpose to let us
know what is the suggestion of the regional coordinators and not the
satellite schedule for today and tomorrow.

But supposing that the users don't agree with the suggestion of regional
coordinators i wonder where to address a complain.

As far I know the list of regional coordinators has not been yet released.

Hi all,
Just tried to find out how the orbit will look.

Very unscientific I just used FENGYUN 3A and modified
the Mean Motion to 13.19 orbits per day.
Then the height becomes approximately 1200 km.

As far as I can find out, FENGYUN 3A was sent up from the same
spaceport as XW-1 will be.

I used NOVA for Windows. It allows the change without complaint :-)

XW-1 hasn't launched yet, but will soon according to several people and
sources. It is a V/U satellite, with a 50 kHz transponder, a 1200 baud
BBS, and an FM repeater. More details are on the AMSAT Satellite Status

I am working on a "suggested schedule" for AO-13 and AO-40, but haven't got
the mode changes worked out yet.

Soon.
