Hi all.
I have just copied Cute -1.7 over here in the UK (Wales - IO81EM)
Using Kenwood THD-7 and just its helical antenna - copied CW on a frequency
437 .275 Mhz +/- doppler.
The over head pass N//S was at approx. 1012 hrs Zulu and an max elevation
about 76 degrees.
Sorry I did not have any device with me to make a recording.
Now looking out for a possible pass of Delfi C-3.

Both the CUTE1.7 (437.275) and the SEEDS (437.485) CW signals were monitored
in Brno JN85HF during pass between 10.12 and 10.23.

Hi Henk, PA3GUO
Compare please the quality of modulation only for 23 cm SSB
versus 2 meters and 70 cm SSB and not FM
You will note a big difference because the 23 cm on TS-2000X
is not linear
If you have no difference in SSB quality in your TS2000X probably
Kenwood already modified the bias voltage of the module M57762
in your transceiver.
By the way as far I know there are two possible simple mods to cure
the problem one is from VK4WS and the other one from RA3AQ

Hi All
I managed to hear Delfi-c3b beacon this afternoon using spacetrack object A
#32783 the Sat was running approx 1min early ,so far as I could tell ,the
beacon was centred on 145.930+- doppler, at los the recorded frequency on my
ft847 was 145.927.6
I was unable to decode the telemetry due to a shortcoming in my doppler
control progarm in that it tunes in 10hz steps which is to high but will try
and rectify this as soon as I can.At times the signal was s7 but with very
deep fading using a 6 el quad with horiz pol.Regards Robert G8ATE

All,
we have heard Delfi-C3 during the 1148UTC pass over the TU Delft
groundstation, she was on the backup freq of 145.930MHz, with a really
strong signal!!! The spacecraft is in science mode, everything has deployed
nominally.
We got quite some decoded frames which indicate that the spacecraft is in
good health. We are currently investigating the telemetry in order to
determine the status into more detail.
It was incredible to finally hear the faint signals out of the noise, rising
to comfortable strength!
Reports from accross the globe are welcome, and we have already got quite
some hams receiving and uploading good telemetry!!!
We were using our old TLE's from the mission ops page, which seemed to fit
best, so it's probably best to keep using those for now.

Dear All,
Just witnessed the very successful launch of Delfi-C3 and all other
satellites launched from India via DD National live. My congratulations to
all those involved in making this launch a success.
Now awaiting the reception of the first signals some 9 hours from now. Will
have to wait for tomorrow morning to copy the first signal from Delfi-C3 due
to it being in eclipse during the first pass over West Malaysia. Good luck
to all those in copying the downlink.

Hi all.
Hooray!
Can I recommend Spectran as a good piece of software for recording and
displaying weak signals. The screen shows frequency and time and signal
level so
you can very easily adjust the tuning for 1600Hz required for the RASCAL
decoding software.
I used it to identfy Suitsat 1 and estimate its ERP.
Set the sample rate for 44kHz to get the highest bandwidth and quality.

Thanks David - Sadly at work and not near the radio.....

Hi Wouter,
Glad to hear the good news - Also copied over here in the UK - South Wales
- IO81EM.
As with my report on Cute 1 , I was only using a THD-7 with its helical
antenna.
Regret although this I had been prepared to make a digital recording, I had
some local interference
from somewhere nearby however which badly effected the quality etc.
I will try again later this evening and also perhaps use an Arrow antenna.
Thanks again and further congratulations on the satellite now being
confirmed as operational.

Observations from the pass 1242 UTC to 1255 UTC, over VK.
Copied two CW signals on nominal 437.275.
One was very unstable and chirpy with slow CW, the other was clean, fast
CW, but quite weak in signal strength. The unstable signal drifted down the
band very quickly, definitely not crystal locked.
Also copied SEEDS on nominal 437.485, but may be slightly lower in
frequency.
Signal clean but very weak. Visible on Spectran but not decode-able.
This pass was in Eclipse.
Used auto-tracking throughout the pass, which may have been a retrograde
move.

Hi all,
w.r.t TLE's for Delfi-C3, for now we advise everyone to keep using the "old"
TLE's as published on our Mission Operations Page at

These seemed to match best on the last good pass over our groundstation this

Hello All
ISRO making history, congrats to all involved for the success of the launch

Does anyone know if any satellites can be tracked by Radio Amateurs, if so
which frequencies, and satellites.
Regards,
Sundeep Shah.
