Delfi-C3 received in Belgium during the third pass between 11:49 and 11:57 utc
on 145.930 MHz.
194 packets received, decoded with RASCAL and sent to the command station.
Signals were loud and decodable during 90 % of the pass.

Congratulations to the team. Long life to Delfi-C3.

Morning,

Just had my one shot for the morning and got an excellent signal, with AOS
and LOS within seconds of predicted. The original keps are good enough for
automatic frequency tracking, but it seemed to work better riding the VFO
manually. There were a few deep fades which responded to reversing the
antenna polarity.

The RASCAL program is slick, and nicely accessed the servers to upload the
data. The indicated center frequency seems to bounce around a lot which
makes it less useful than it might be for centering. However, a couple of
minutes learning, and you can keep the sync indicator on.

Congratulations to the Delfi-C3 team!

When Wouter says these signals are 'strong', this isn't just the
boasting of a proud papa. Drew reports reception with a mobile
antenna; I got perhaps the strongest signals I've ever received from a
satellite. If you're interested, you should try listening to this new
bird with anything you have on hand.

Hi All,

I received a number of requests for SEEDS TLE this morning. The truth is that
there aren't any specific elements for SEEDS or any of the other
CubeSats...yet. I used the preliminary launch vehicle elements published by
UTIAS-SFL last night to track SEEDS (http://www.utias-sfl.net/NLS-4/). Since
the sats did not get to far from the launch vehicle in the first hour, those
elements were accurate. Now that it's been T+12 hours, those elements are
likely to be inaccurate. In this case, you should use the elements on
SpaceTrack under the "Search by Satellite Launch Date" (use April 28th for the
date). Objects A-G should correspond to the CubeSats launched. Now it's a game
to figure out which Object ID belongs to which satellite! The last I heard
from other stations was that *Object B* worked well for SEEDS, but you should
try switching objects and finding out which one is SEEDS for yourself. As time
goes by, you'll see suggestions on the BB as to which TLE
works for which spacecraft. Eventually you'll start seeing their common names
appearing on the SpaceTrack site as well. Hope that answers your questions.

BTW, can any AMSAT member tell what the rules are for reposting TLE? I thought
that it was prohibited unless you had special permission, so I have omitted
the latest elements from my post until I find out for sure...

Thanks all. I know the students and developers REALLY appreciate your help and
the telemetry you're capturing! It's certainly been fun and rewarding for me.

Good luck on your upcoming passes. 73,

Matt

I need the manual for my Yaesu GS-232 Computer Controller for the Yaesu G-
5400B rotators. Note: this is NOT the 232A or 232B which are newer products.
This is a unit I purchased in 1993. Yaesu Parts has no info in the unit.

The circuit board has the part number CS-232. There is a DB-25, two 5-pin
headers and a power connector on the rear, and two pots (AZ and EL) near the
left-rear of the circuit board.

A pdf file of the manual would be ideal, but a copy would be fine.

Please respond directly to my email w5rkn(AT)amsat.org

The Delfi-C3 signal was heard on 145.930 on the 1646 to 1654 UTC in
Northern CA using the initial keps provided by Delft which seemed very
close.

The antenna was just a M2 2 meter halo and signals were very readable.
Signal nulls were every 30 or so seconds. Won't bother recoding data
until I get the gain antenna on it after I become more comfortable with
its orbit and signal characteristic.

So congratulations to the U of Delft crew for a job well done. I'm
especially keen to see how the satellite performs without the use of
batteries.

Regards...Bill - N6GHz

1- 968 packet decoded
2- 950 packet decoded (a very low pass s5 to S6 signal)
Data has been received on 145.930 Mhz science frq (antenna SWR 1:1) all
solar panels and antennas deployed

Here is the last summary

I track in the middle of the pack "Object C" but on the last noon pass i
heard 3 additional carrier on 145.93 without any modulation? i
don't know where they are coming from. It is near a full time job to be able
to listen for about 10 sats so closed in orbit...

Signal was low so packets could not be decoded.

Signals not heard in Northern CA on this pass (on .930 or .870) which
should have been much better than the least pass (less trees that way at
my QTH).

The next pass should be right over Delft and then to my West. Will try then.

Maybe they're giving it a rest??
