Congratulations on what appears to be a successful launch and satellite
deployment!!

Listened for Delfi-C3 from 0500 UTC to 0510 UTC here in Northern
California on .870 and ,930 +/- 10 KHz and heard nothing - - - - but the
satellite was in eclipse until late in my pass and then it was getting
near the horizon. Just listened for Delfi-C3.

Perhaps Alaska will have better luck!!!

Well, I went to a hilltop at the appointed time, but try as I might, I
heard nothing.

Was Delfi-C3 really out of eclipse at 0455 - 0510 UTC?

We the members of Amsat India and the Indian Ham fraternity congratulate
ISRO for the successful 10 pack satellite launch via the PSLV C9 this
morning.

We would also congratulate the DELFI team, CUTE team and the SEEDS team for
their amateur radio satellites which are now placed in orbit.

Looking forward to hearing the first telemetry in a few minutes which
ofcourse is a low westrly pass for us.
VU3TYG and myself would try to monitor and record.

Looking forward to a the new exciting sats.

Hi All,

I captured audio and decoded some of SEEDS telemetry on the first pass over
western US at 05:01 UTC. Report and audio can be found here:

Congrats to all sats on a successful launch!! We'll be listening tomorrow, and
hope to catch those that weren't heard on the first pass.

Good luck, and 73

Well, I didn't get anything from Delfi C3 on its first pass over the
West Coast, but
I had heard that some people managed to get some signals from some of
the other
cubesats, so I set up for SEEDS on the low, second pass. Maximum
elevation was only
9 degrees, and I recorded the pass with my FT-817 and a little voice
recorder, tuning
the doppler by hand. My morse skills are feeble, but even I could
pick out the SEEDS
in the telemetry stream. Audio is here:

http://brainwagon.com/images/seeds.mp3

Congrats to all the teams!

Is there any update on keps for Delfi-C3? Uploading the launch keps
gave me questionable results with NOVA. Nothing heard here but not
sure that I listened at the correct time.

I will try again at 8:16utc pass for Cute-1.7 (keps per Hiroki
Ashida), but will it be out of eclipse? We are in local night-time
here in BP40IQ since 5:52utc. According to NOVA the sun terminator
will be crossed by Cute-1.7 at 8:24utc northbound. I am heading to
bed so hope to wake in an hour to observe on 144.870. I have not
installed the telemetry sw so am only hoping to detect a signal.

I am watching the PLSV-C9 launch from India and at 0408Z PSLV-C9 was at 2932
km downrange at an altitude of 626KM and the launch was
perfect at 0353Z. The tentative Delfi C3 KEPS "seems" to be ahead of the
actual PSLV-C9 position. We will not be able here on the eastern
North American side to get the sat before 1329Z (0929 EST)

RASCALS is working tracking is ready i just wait for the real KEPS and the
first report from the western coast of NA.

Congratulations for the launch team in India and it's could be a world

This doesn't seem to work for me. Is there another source of near-real

I heard Delfi-C3 on the second pass (San Francisco Bay Area), but not
the first. Also, it was transmitting on 145.930 MHz (the backup
frequency), not 145.870 MHz.

The ICOM IC-R1500 didn't have the crackling you hear in the recording
when listening on the speaker, but for some reason it got into the ADC:

How very exciting! Congrats to all!

Hi all,

Delfi-C3 was heard by Rick Mann, while she was over the US. From the wav
file Rick sent us, we can deduce that she is tranmitting on the backup
frequency (145.930) in science mode. This is very very good news, we are all
extremely excited. We have not been able to decode the wav file yet since it
is rather noisy, but the satellite is definitely there.
Note that Delfi-C3 decides by herself on which freq the transmitter comes
up, so be sure to check both 145.870MHz and 145.930MHz.
Any wav files, or if possible even decoded TLM using RASCAL or a KISS file
is highly appreciated!

Hello folks,

I monitored first two passes during morning and didn't hear any signal
from the sat
here in northern Finland. Max. elevations were 3 degrees for the first
pass and 17 degrees for the second (according to given keps for Delfi-
C3).

Aloha

I copied SEEDS this evening at 44 degrees el. in
Honolulu. The KEPS provided by Mineo worked
very well. I used an FM HT so I had to interpret the
CW via graphics. There seemed to be a lot of
polarity shifts. The CW sequence was:

JQ1YGU
SEEDS
GO
CDA
FFF......

repeated with varying 3 letter groups
following "GO."

This was my first attempt with this bird
so I hope my data is reliable. 73 to all
and congratulations to the Nihon University
Cubesat Team!!!

Domo, arigato gozaimashita!

Respectfully with Aloha
robert NH7WN in Honolulu
