Organizzata dall'A.R.I., una giornata ricca di intense emozioni !
"Troposcatter Italia Gruppo Microonde Monte del Giogo e Monte
Maggiore", in occasione della consegna simbolica della tratta
Troposcatter dalla giurisdizione Militare all'utilizzo Radioamatoriale,
in entrambi "i siti" e' convenuto un folto pubblico formato da ex
operatori ACE HIGH, radioamatori e curiosi.
Numerose anche le Autorita' ufficialmente convenute: il vicepresidente
della Regione Emilia Romagna Giuseppe Villani, l'assessore regionale
Roberto Corradi, il Sindaco di Comano Pietro Romiti, il tenente
colonnello Pasquale Ganci in rappresentanza dell'Arma delle
Trasmissioni, il presidente ed il vicepresidente nazionale
dell'Associazione Italiana Radioamatori Avv. Luigi Belvederi e il Prof.
Nicola Sanna, nonche' il novantenne missionario Saveriano Padre
Nazzareno Bramati, che, sfidando le intemperie, ha benedetto la
statuetta marmorea della "Madonna del Radioamatore".
Prima dei collegamenti, approfittando di uno sprazzo di sole, e' stata
scoperta anche una targa in ricordo del Maresciallo Gianfranco
Carnesecca, originario della zona e recentemente scomparso, figura
storica delle ex basi troposcatter Nato.
A monte del Giogo, all'interno della confortevole "sala OH (over
horizon)", sono iniziati i collegamenti con la corrispondente stazione a
Monte Maggiore (Roma) utilizzando apparati operativi in 1200 Mhz e Uhf
secondo il protocollo "d-star mode Dv" (digital voice) sia in fonia
che in dati, collegati ad uno dei paraboloidi della stazione.
Grande soddisfazione e' stata espressa dai presenti per l'alta qualita'
della modulazione e la velocissima trasmissione di testi.
Questo successo che conclude un primo step del "programma di Monte del
Giogo e Monte Maggiore", pone le basi per un possibile, immediato e
reale impiego di questo sistema nel campo della Protezione Civile.
Questo interessamento e' stato esplicitamente dichiarato dalle numerose
autorita' presenti.
Non va dimenticato un ulteriore esploit in banda 6 metri (50 MHz)
grazie agli illuminatori a 2 elementi progettati da IK4MZJ Toni Marco,
che hanno consentito ai paraboloidi di lavorare ben oltre le loro
caratteristiche di progettazione.
In questo modo, oltre al collegamento tra le citate stazioni, avvenuto
utilizzando apparecchiature surplus, quali il Sem 25 (max power 1,5
watt), sono stati stabiliti numerosi contatti anche con la zona insulare
dell'Italia.
Durante la manifestazione hanno operato in CW e in AM, le stazioni con
nominativo speciale II5MG e II0MT effettuando collegamenti nell'ambito
del MUSEUMSHIPS WEEKEND EVENT, utilizzando apparecchiature "surplus"
operate da radioamatori del gruppo "M.O.R.S.E".
Grande simpatia ha riscosso anche la presenza della mitica Jeep Willys
"Rover Joe" (www.roverjoe.com) ,completa delle apparecchiature originali
per collegamenti terrestri ed aerei, condotta in vetta nonostante il
maltempo, da Alberto Campanini IZ4LWV.
Un simpatico "aperitivo" ha concluso la manifestazione.

" Troposcatter Italian Mountain Microwaves Group of Monte del Giogo and
Monte Maggiore ", during the:
-Symbolics delivery of the Troposcatter trade from the military
jurisdiction to the radio amateur use-.
In both " sites " gathered numerous persons, composed by former ACE HIGH
Operators, Radio Amateurs and simply interested people.
Numerous were also the Authorities : Giuseppe Villani as
Vice-President of the Emilia Romagna Region , the Regional Council
member Roberto Corradi, Pietro Romiti Comano Mayor, the L.Colonel
Pasquale Ganci on behalf of Arma delle Trasmissioni , the President and
the Vice-President of the Associazione Italiana Radioamatori Pierluigi
Belvederi e Nicola Sanna, and also the ninety-year-old man ,Saveriano
missionary, father Nazzareno Bramati, that, challenging the bad
weathers, blessed the small marble statue of the" Madonna del
Radioamatore" .
Before the beginning of the QSOs , thanks to some sunlight peeping from
clouds, it was also presented a memorial plate to remember Marshal
Gianfranco Carnesecca, born in that zone and recently died, an
historical figure of the ex Nato troposcatter Bases .
Reentered into the comfortable room " sala OH (over horizon) ", we
begun the QSOs with the corresponding station of Tolfa (Rome) using
1200 Mhz and Uhf rigs utilizing the d-star mode Dv (digital voice) both
for phone as for data modes, feeding one of the paraboloids of the
station.
Great satisfaction was expressed by all the presents for the high
quality of the modulation and for the very fast achieved speeds in the
transmission of texts.
This success, that concludes the first step of the program "Monte del
Giogo e Monte Maggiore", puts the foundations for a possible, immediate
and real use of this system in the field of the Civil Defence, this
interest having been expressly declared by the numerous attending
Authorities
We cannot forget another unique fact in 6 meters band( 50 MHz ) thanks
to the 2 elements feeders designed by Toni Marco IK4MZJ , that allowed
the paraboloid antennas to work well beyond their originally planned
specifications .
In this way, besides the QSO between the cited stations, achieved using
surplus rigs, such as the Sem 25 (max power 1,5 watts), we could
establish also numerous contacts with the insular zone of Italy.
During the event, the stations with special calls II5MG and II0MT,
operated in Cw and in Am modes had a lot of radio contacts , during the
"MUSEUMSHIPS WEEKEND EVENT", using "surplus" sets operated by radio
amateurs of "M.O.R.S.E" Group .
The mythical Willys Jeep "Rover Joe" ( www.roverjoe.com ), totally
filled by the original rigs for terrestrial and aerial contacts, was
driven up to the mountain peak , in spite of the bad weather from Albert
Campanini IZ4LWV , and received such a great liking by all the
attendants.
A very nice "appetizer" did conclude the event.
