Hi Bob and all,
You'd be doing everyone including yourself a BIG favor by either
replacing the control with a standard switch or replacing the lamp.
They're the bane of radio operators everywhere being the oscillator is
rich in harmonics that wander up and down the band radiating over a wide
area. You have discovered Frankenstein's revenge, my way of getting even
with an uncooperative neighbor who even thumbed his nose at the FCC.
Another neighbor was agreeable to trade for a standard lamp I bought for
her, then after getting it home I smashed the touch control lamp to bits
amid much ceremony, pomp and circumstance.
In case you're not so violently opposed to these notorious RFI generators
you can always bury it in the yard with an appropriate "here lies"
epitaph but don't ask me for help, your neighbors would be shocked by my
thoughts on the matter. (;->)
