Hi fellow amateur historians,
Yes there are three important canals, the Suez canal, the Panama Canal and
the Guadalcanal. (oh that was horrible)
The Solomons are known as a scuba diver and fisherman's paradise aright,
after those major naval battles it's a wreck diver's paradise. Many
underwater photos abound on the Internet for those like me have a keen
interest, but can never dive and see them for themselves. In those pictures
you can see why the Solomons are a fisherman's paradise, all those colorful
tropical fish. So, what are you waiting for?
