RAFARS COUNCIL VACANCY,.
Chris GM0TQJ is leaving the RAF and has tendered his resignation from your
Council. All members can apply to fill the vacancy. Written nominations,
proposed by five members and countersigned by the nominee, should be sent
to the General Secretary before June 30th 2008. If a ballot is required,
the result will be announced at the October AGM. Please note that Council
can co-opt a member to fill this post until that AGM.

Tuesday 24 Jun, 9 Sep, and 18 Nov - at 1300hrs
A Field Rep will be invited to each meeting and travel expenses paid.
All members may ask to attend meetings but expenses are not paid.

GB2RAF AIR DEFENCE RADAR MUSEUM RAF NEATISHEAD RAFARS PERMANENT S.E.S.
Report for 5 May 08. 53 contacts made which included 8 Mills on the Air.
A welcome visitor was Bob G0DAM, one of our Council Members, who helped to
setup and dismantle the station and also spent a number of hours on the
mic. RAFARS members worked G3MWN, G8LUV, G3DZS, GB0WWW 3983, G0KSP, G3AZW,
G2MJ, G3ICH, G4YEP, G4WZI, G3DHY, MW5AGS and GB2IWM.
GB2RAF should be QRV every 2nd Saturday of the Month 1000-1500hrs local on
RAFARS frequencies SSB or CW on 80m, or 40m if conditions are poor.
