BERU Contest 2008

This year, the BERU contest for 2008 teams from Australia, Canada, Great Britain, New Zealand, and
a team called "The Rest-of-the-World" were joined by Team Africa.

Inaugural Winter VHF-UHF Field Day
----------------------------------
The first Summer VHF-UHF Field Day was held in 1989, and then in 1998 it was joined by the Spring
VHF-UHF Field Day. These events have become more popular each year, and activity has doubled over
the last few years.

Big Turnout For The Moorabbin & District Radio Club Hamfest

On Saturday the 10th of May the Moorabbin and District Radio Club (MDRC) conducted it's annual hamfest
at the Brentwood Secondary College in Glen Waverley, an outer eastern suburb of Melbourne.

WIA Visits BARCFest 2008

On Saturday 10th May the Brisbane Amateur Radio Club held its annual and popular BARCFest at the
Mt Gravatt Showgrounds. Don VK4BY, Chairman of the Queensland Advisory Committee, flew down from
Rockhampton to assist Ewan VK4ERM and Ken VK4KF man the WIA table at the BARCFest.
