You speak of a convers system where only one user at a time is entering
text. On WWC which has been around for over 30 years, many users on
channels 0 through 65535 may be entering text at the same time to which
each server must relay to each other that you may not see. MTU is very
very important in this case.

Perhaps if you coded/developed for the convers protocol you may understand
the backend of things you don't see.
