I live in New York State and if sombody enters your home you must reteat.
If you meet them at the door or window and shoot them after they enter most
likey you will be charged.
If sombody enters your home and you retreat and they corner you in a room
and you feel that your life is in danger then you have the right to use
deadly. force.
You must also make sure that you state to the police that your life was in
danged. Deadly force was your only way tp protect your self.
Every state has their own rules or laws.
