Hi again Peter and all,
In more or less condensed form; I keep hearing about the rising crime in
Canada, Toronto in particular which makes me wonder why it was so
peaceful when I was there in the 60s and why so violent now. Just another
indicator the world is going to hell in a handbasket I suppose. Just to
set the record straight, comparatively few American homeowners have guns
on the premesis so a burglar isn't all that likely to end up staring down
the barrel of a shotgun, more likely he'll steal it when the careless
fool isn't home. Yup, responsible owners keep them well secured. Most
states have eliminated the death penalty and like Canada warehouse scum
only we have more in stock. If anybody out there wants a few violent
gangsters we have plenty free for the asking, only a nominal charge for
shipping and handling.
Yeah, "reasonable discussion" is a subjective term and you jst can't
please everyone, some are particularly difficult but their raving tends
to be ignored thank goodness. Right, how boring I would be if I didn't
interject a wisecrack or two. I'm not the only one to liven up a serious
discussion and when the Ozzies interject some humor they're masters of
the smart aleck response. Packet is but one discussion forum among many
I'm involved with and I can tell you here they are sedate by comparison.
The English are a close second but you'd never know it by what you read
here.
The YL Net has it's ups and downs eh? I'll let that pass.
Oh, so Maria rolls in tomorrow and if it's the usual scene you'll need a
