I didn't canonize him. The term was yours. Hey! he was the most popular
prime minister here in many years - since Menzies in the 1960s in fact. Do
you reckon we the voters knew something you didn't? Very likely. We live
here. I don't know all the whys and wherefores of life in the USA but I do
know that our seniors are very much better off thanks to Howard. That
comes from the Yanks in the chatroom I inhabit with a particular senior
friend in Milwaukee with whom I have compared conditions.

Why all the fuss about Howard? Does he worry you? Sounds like it. You
don't have a good word for the man. Listen he gave the seniors here
financial security which they lost with Keating and Hawke, who made some
unfair and very tough rules for pensioners. That earned Howard plenty of
brownie points as far as we were concerned. He made one mistake. At 65
years of age he stayed a year too long and it cost him.

You have never experienced our way of life, the ups and downs politically.
How could you? Forget it, Warren you are on a loser here.I can't
understand why you are getting so het up about it. Forget it.
Cheers,

Bob
