Hi All,
My experience:-
Between November 2013 and January 2014 VK2NA and I (G4APL)
where experimenting two way communication
using 600bd Robust Packet on 21 and 28MHz short path
having 1 hour keyboard QSO on most days the band was open
Which was an amazing experience.
We were both using beams and 50watts. Also tested with lower power levels.
I was using my second backup system.
PACTOR was also used on the SHORT path on 21 and 28MHZ was well
for one to one and access to GB7CIP Pactor BBS/Gateway.
we were using SCS PTC Data Communications Controllers.
We could not get AMTOR to work, even with increasing the delays
On pactor we needed the Long Path delay enable to make the connection
over that distance using Pactor on the SHort and Long PAth
Oh! we were testing around gb7cip 21 and 28MHz pactor frequencies.
Conditions have gone down hill since January. Great fun will it lasted
Note VK2IO is packet
SYDNEY:VK2IO-1} Ports
5 7037.17 kHz
7 7036 kHz APRS
10 10147.6 kHz APRS
11 10148 kHz
14 14103 kHz LSB APRS (Net14)
15 14105 kHz LSB (Net 105)
Looking forward to experimenting again when conditions inprove.
73's all and have fun Paul g4apl@gb7cip
