You'd think so but I saw an email this morning from the ozaprs group about
VK2FOUR using aprs (in breach of licence) with the beacon VK2-4

I understand the ACMA maintains there was no option other than to use a
four letter suffix. I further understand a different prefix was suggested
but it was claimed none are available.
