You could ask that maniac in your country that sniped at and killed at
random, motorists buying petrol in gas stations for the answer to that.
The semi automatic pistols are only allowed here under certain
circumstances. Not every one can get a licence to buy one.The long guns
that were banned had in some instances a range of a couple of miles. How
far will a pistol shoot? I spent three years in the army and I know the
answer to both of those questions.
As for the "Crime Minister" as you call him, you are on shaky ground
there. According to all reports the people of this country were solidly
behind him in his actions. The Tasmanian affair shocked the country and
the people demanded action. They got swift action. As for arm twisting of
the states, import of arms is a federal affair I believe as are all
matters dealing with customs. If I am wrong someone will correct me. That
shouldn't really be a concern of yours Warren. It is our business and I
heard no complaints from the State Governments..
Your remarks about then PM Howard are well out of order Warren. I am
surprised that you can put yourself in the same league in political
comment as certain others whose names I won't mention
Stick to throwing frogs. Much safer.
