Hi xcj
Peter ve3wbz has confirmed yesterday morning (Saturday 26 April), while we were
having a realtime packet keyboard contact. That SP Personal Mail is reaching
his home BBS VA3BAL (Since I amended the personal mail routing as a result
of my tests during late March and early April) via a digi peater and a node.
Infact he has replied to mine and also some of your personal mail since the
change of routing. Checking the GB7CIP international gateway. I note that
they have been passed through to gb7imk.
He does have a long radio hop to reach his home BBS. As he has pointed
out, due to the severe thunderstorms and Wireless nodes going AWOL. The
VE3 SysOPs are doing a great job of rebuilding the Radio Network when they
have time and resources.
What I have found is that the XNET systems do not reply to ping messages.
So makes it difficult checking routing.
Peter has also pointed out that the WhitePages DataBase on some VE3 has
incorrect entries. My home BBS was pointing back to a canadian BBS. Not
helpfull as it should be pointing at gb7cip.
Notes: To check personal mail routing to and from GB7CIP's gateway
send a personal message SP ping @ gb7cip.#32.gbr.eu
Lets fix the personal mail routing.
BBS forwarding partners document can be found on the websites listed in the
sig below.
