Re folk leaving packet usage, I suppose that is part reason for the
theme of these bulletins. (is time to turn off?)
Around Sydney there are about 4 BBS's and having lately logged on to
each regularly and hitting JK, that lists daily users. The 3 main
BBS's each have no more than 2 regular users.
Top marks to the sysops who run their systems 24/7, spend monies on
power, replacement hard discs, keep backups, run links, including HF
radio, and with some having up to 7 ports open.
Also some have helped install and maintain mountain top, repeaters
etc etc, but I suppose it is also a hobby for them to keep such
systems alive, even if they have no users, as does one BBS.
One wonders what is needed to inspire more activity and a pity F
Calls are not permitted use of digital comms.
