Hi Paul and all,

Once upon a time I saw bulls about packet sysops in the US setting up high
speed microwave links, now also in New Zealand along with the usual 2M and
70cM links and user radio ports. Good for you and I hope it catches on!

Unfortunately no TNCs are sold here anymore by the usual outlets due to poor
or nonexistant sales. Also, from the looks of the bulls list, packet is a
barely visible shadow of its former self, I'd be overjoyed to see a rebirth
of the once huge list with a variety of interesting subjects.

Oh those love lorn kids, I remember a video of a competition between a CW op
and a kid texting, the CW op deliberately went slow, then sat back with a
grin watching the kid still banging away to complete the message. LOL! So
kiddies, get out of mommy's basement once in a while and discover the wide,
wide world of Amateur Radio!

Oh, I still use a bicycle to go shopping, "old technology" is still useful
since the Wright Brothers IN THEIR BICYCLE SHOP developed the airplane. i
DON'T FLY BUT i STILL PEDAL,(;->) Oops, forgot the caps lock.

We're the telecommunications elite? No comment. (;->)
