Hello All and Compliments of the Season.

As follow up to Eddie's comments below

I have Outpost Packet Message Manager installed on Win7 Professional 64bit
running as a 32bit (x86) application. Not in Virtual mode.

This is currently driving a SCS PTCIIex Pactor/Packet controller
on HF Pactor as a User. (Only installed this again last week to have another
look at this software)

I have used it in the past using my remote Xppro laptop that I use when away
to Drive a Paccom Tiny2/Radio 2metre to connect to a local radio node in
Dorset and make a netrom connection to my home BBS GB7CIP in NE Surrey.

Have also done the same using a Kenwood THD7e(with builtin TNC)
you could the same with the Kenwood TS2000e(with built in TNC)

As Eddie Stated, there is the telnet facility and Terminal mode.

One thing it does not do, which is a shame.

It does not download and store a Bulletin list, so that you could select
(flag) the bulltins that you want to download and read.

Outposts downloads the complete AX25 bulletin. Which wastes a lot of bandwidth.
I have not found away around this.. At this time.

Needs a feature where it detects:-
Emergency Bulletin System download the complete document.

AX25 Bulletin Download the Bulletin Header, Create List and present for
User selection.

Though it has the facility to only select certain groups with a comma
separated list. e.g. PACKET,HELP,INFO though you would miss all those
to ALL and other categories.

There are sample TNC configurations and PMB/PMBO/BBS connections supplied
for various types of TNC's which should cover most in used today (and the
past).
