Hi Phil and all,

Yup, I only used the UK as an example, there are other places that have
unfortunately found themselves in indefensable positions. Perhaps the
Founding Fathers who wrote the US Constitution were seers and knew darn
well what would happen (and worse) should we not be allowed an armed
citizenry. (sp?) "A well armed militia" is not the National Guard but a
citizens pool from which a military may be drawn on a moment's notice, I
draw your attention to The Minutemen and I'm not talking rockets here.
The whole idea is protection from enemies from within as well as from
without and sometimes that enemy may be as close as your neighbor. Heh,
your local burglar usually is just that, he didn't come to rob you from
across the sea.

OK, down from the soap box and back to the hobby. As I say periodically
firearms are collectables and useful tools for developing skills. Let's
just hope we never have to call on them in times of emergency but it's
like being a Boy Scout, be prepared. You never know who may come to rob
you or when he'll come or from where. He may be the guy down the street
or the guy across the sea bringing an army with him. That's why Americans
have had guns from the start and we have fun with them too, I'm just glad
paper doesn't shoot back. (;->)

Ah did it again so please excuse me while I rinse off the soap. (;->)
