Hi back Warren, and somebody? WHO ??? Not usre...ssssh!
Aaah yes, we might make it to Dead Bird Day in Hoosier-land,
minus the 500, get enought of that on the highway.
The last crop in applys to Canada and Ontario, and yes Pumkins
are a part of harvest, as is Halloween, and the TV is full of
ads for familys to come out to the farm for their pumpkin and
hayrides and whatever to get that dollar before winter.
I guess I can not even try call it Christmas, as we have now here
to have a generic sounding name for the season , as to not offend.
Seasonal Greetings are acceptable. For me it is still Merry
Christmas, and well the Brasilians have a long line of words
for the day, so as I am not portuguese speaking... I can let it
lie.
> Pete, you amaze me. Please see a doctor for an EEG, your symptoms
> indicate you're brain dead. (;->)
wish I was sometimes, it certainly would make life easiler.
Have no clue as to the Honey Bee situation, just that local beekeepers
have lost their colonys. They have tied it to farming operations
and in Europe they have banned what the farms are using. Not here.
As for Monsanto, there has been enough demonstrations like Global
Warming, but the Money Speaks and the Politicians here and elesewhere
do nothing. Bees and food are being threatened, and hey I love
that new chart they brought out predicting the weather pattern
changes and data. Time will tell if they are right or wrong.
On leather jackets, forgot the flying leathers with real wool
inside. We used to have them when I worked for the Cannuckian
Government. I wanted one as a keeper, as they were ending them
and heard and saw what happened to them. They go to Crown Assets
where a "jerk" with a knife tears'em up into strips. So much for
taxpayers money here in CANADA. Other countrys sell them to
surplus stores, and get back some money for the taxpayers.
Yeah I saw the fan interferrence ..they always show it here and there.
Figure skates are not wimps. White or black or other colours.
Hockey Teams these days have women power skating coaches and
they have figure skates on. I don't know if the team does, but
on TV we have "Battle of the Blades" and it is a great mix
of NHL hockey players and Pro Female partners on ice both wearing
figure skates. The reviews were a surprise. Here we have
no skating places like a park. I know in Toronto they closed
a lot as happened to your area. Too bad. I am thinking of
getting a user pair and trying to skate or see if I can, as
we have friends at the local figure club.
Aaah how I remember our local flooded school yard ice rink
and the "hut" but it had a oil heater. Thats all gone now
but the memorys.
So ends another Cannuckian Thanksgiving. Instead of the turkey
a really nice double smoked ham. hmmm...sounds like me lighting
the fireplace here tonight as we sink to 5c.
Next week I have to go over to a friends boat, and tarp it
as well pull the hoses off the diesel engine and drain it.
Great job...
