Hi Pete and... ?,
You remember Trevor, you remember Chrissie, so why don't you remember the
attitude of the YLs when the net was first formed? This back and forth
reminds me of a 50s sci-fi movie where one tries to warn the vanguard of the
invasion has landed and nobody believes him. OK fine, no sense hammering it
to death and getting nowhere. At least your version of how and why the OM Net
was formed agrees with my memory except for one thing, the basic design of
the logo is yours while I gave it a milder looking mouth in its now final
form. Nice copy and paste job on the combined logo, naturally adding spaces
to properly align it was a bugger. (;->)
I see you're confusing the original YL Net on packet with the one on Yahoo
Groups I never applied to making the whole discussion a swamp so rather than
continue trying to swim in a morass the chopper has come so I'm out of it.
Trevor, I didn't realize until near the end what a yeoman job he did
supporting packet and his BBS as his health deteriorated. Never mind his not
being here to defend his actions, they never were under attack from me or
anyone else. Pointing out futility and attacking are two different things,
apparently ALL who posted virus warnings and there were far more on the
internet realized they're pointless and it all stopped. I explained why last
time. Anyway, I miss Trev in a big way and I'm sure others do too, he was one
helluva man I would love to have known better. Well, what I did know made him
admirable, Admirable Bates of the RPN.
HUH? What's he on about now? A really bad pun! (;->)
Eh, I've never been a big sports fan besides the NY Yankees, Mets and
Philadelphia Phillies in that order, yeah, baseball. Still I'm not a fanatic
and get a chuckle when people ask me about the Chicago Cubs every time I go
out wearing the jacket. Hey, I never turn down free so I don't care what
team's logo is on it. (;->) Speaking about fanatics, way back when my barber
was from Napoli and he was a football/soccer fan-atic, he always had a game
on during the playoffs. When Italy was playing he went nuts and I wondered
how I didn't come out looking like Bozo the clown. (;->) I did mention some
time back I played at a friend's family gathering and how the ball kept
getting lost in the woods or the creek and my bruised shins. The girls could
kick just fine, trouble is their aim was way off... or was it?
Thanksgiving in Canada, just don't mistake turkeys for turkey vultures. (;->)
